Amidst the festivities and cheers from supporters, two athletes stood out among the throng: Hugh Armstrong of Ballina AC and Shona Heaslip from An Riocht AC, who both powered through the challenging course to secure their titles as the 2024 National Half Marathon Champions.

Hugh Armstrong, returning to competitive running with a fierce determination, showcased an impressive performance that left competitors in the dust. His training regime clearly paid off, as he crossed the finish line to a rapturous applause, securing his place as champion.
