AFL Division 1 final recap: Mayo 0-14 Galway 0-11 (RTE.ie)

Relive all the action from Croke Park as Connacht rivals Galway and Mayo meet in the Allianz Football League Division 1 final.

The Galway forward is booked but it looked like Reape actually fell and hit his head off Conroy's knee, which did the damage. Galway do need a goal now. Walsh tries to lob the 45 in and it drifts wide. It was a comfortable height for him compared to Comer's effort though. But his team-mates at the other end can't fashion another goal opportunity. Galway have a few weeks to get themselves back together.

Colm Reape's heroic performance helps Mayo beat Galway in ... (SportsJOE.ie)

Colm Reape put in a heroic performance in nets to help Mayo beat Galway in the league final and take home the Division One title.

Aidan O'Shea played a crucial role up front and although he didn't score he was winning a lot of ball, and driving at the Tribesmen defence, winning a lot of frees in the process. The shot stopper didn't let it deter him however, and he went on to win the Man of the Match award in an important win for the Connacht team. In the first half he did this to his own detriment however, when a nasty collision with himself and Johnny Heaney, which resulted in him picking up a yellow card.

Padraic Joyce Unhappy Over Red Card Call That Cost Galway ... (Balls.ie)

Padraic Joyce was not happy with the yellow card handed to Mayo's Colm Reape, believing that the goalkeeper could have been sent off.

This certainly would have been a massive turning point in the game. We gave Mayo a big start in the game, we were 0-6 to 0-1 down. When questioned on the yellow card for Reape, he hinted that he felt the punishment should have been a more severe one. [TG4](https://twitter.com/SportTG4/status/1642574471822286848?s=20) after the game, Galway manager Padraic Joyce seemed unhappy about some of the decisions that went against his side in the game. If the ref decides that it was intentional, which he did because he gave him a yellow card, does it not merit more than a yellow card? A yellow card was handed out by the referee, with the Galway player forced off due to injury soon after.
