You’re not really in a strong position to negotiate if you’re Tottenham. If they want to really achieve it will probably be with the next owners. It’s very much controlled by Daniel Levy - he wants to make all the decisions and I think that’s always been a major problem with Tottenham. It was a completely different culture to what I’d been at with Liverpool. He can’t be speaking about the players because those players haven’t really been there that long - you can’t really blame them. If Tottenham are ever really going to achieve then that has to change. I think this is really good news for the clubs around them.
