Munster take on Glasgow this evening in the latest round of the URC. Kick-off is scheduled for 5.15pm at Thomond Park. RTE 2 will be showing the game live.

Munster living dangerously. Nice play from Carbery and Crowley in that buildup. On that scrum, Kilcoyne is penalised and Glasgow go to the corner. Great work from Jamie Dobie and Sione Vailanu gets over the whitewash. Surely game over now. Stafford McDowall got the visitors their second try of the game fighting off Joey Carbery and Calvin Nash to touch the ball down.

Glasgow secure impressive win over Munster (BBC Sport)

Warriors scored 28 unanswered points in the first half with tries from Fraser Brown, Stafford McDowall, Domingo Miotti and Cole Forbes.

Fagerson, Darge, Vailanu. Fagerson, Du Preez, Cummings, M. Glasgow continued to run rampant and capped off an incredible first half with a try from Forbes who sprinted over following a sweeping backs move to send his side in 28 points ahead at the break. Vailanu crashed over for Glasgow's fifth try of the evening and Miotti continued his perfect record off the kicking tee to extend Glasgow's lead even further. Glasgow struck first, with Brown steering from the back of the lineout maul and burrowing over to get his side off the mark. Sione Vailanu added to his side's tally in the second half and Domingo Miotti continued his perfect record off the tee to give the visitors the win.

But another error from the restart set Glasgow up again, and Sione Vailanu took the steam out of the Munster comeback to seal the win just after the hour-mark. It was no shock to see a livelier start to the half from Rowntree’s side, but once again it was the visitors that made the most of their chances when Miotti dropped back and landed a drop goal. “We came here with the idea to take all the learnings from this experience we could from this experience back home, so to have the result we got was a bonus,” said Smith.

Report | Munster Beaten By Glasgow At Thomond - Munster Rugby (Munster Rugby)

Munster salvaged a four-try bonus-point on a very disappointing night at Thomond Park on Saturday with Glasgow Warriors claiming a deserved victory.

Miotti’s conversion moved Glasgow 38-14 ahead after 60 minutes. Whenever the province looked to string phases together, knock-ons stymied any chance of gaining momentum. Miotti again converted to make it 14-0 to Glasgow after 25 minutes and was in for the third Glasgow try on 31 minutes.

United Rugby Championship: First-half blitz sees Glasgow Warriors ... (planetrugby.com)

Glasgow Warriors impressively overcame Munster in the United Rugby Championship, sealing a 38-26 triumph, while the Scarlets defeated the Sharks 32-20.

Sharks needed a quick response and they got one when first Mbonambi finished off a move from a lineout before Bosch fired over a penalty from the halfway line but two further penalties from Costelow gave Scarlets a notable scalp. Scarlets began with some blistering rugby. Prop Wycherley replied in the 70th minute after Coombes was stopped short. A speculative cross-field kick from Costelow bounced unfavourably for two covering Sharks and Evans was on hand to boot the ball forward before collecting it to score. Sharks had not had a sniff in the opening quarter but they steadied the ship and reduced the arrears when their captain Kolisi forced his way over from close range to find themselves only 13-7 adrift at the interval. Costelow succeeded with all eight attempts at goal as he landed six penalties and the conversions to a brace of tries from Steff Evans.

Munster v Glasgow: Warriors close in on home play-off with big win ... (The Offside Line)

Glasgow Warriors march to a 31-0 lead in opening 50 minutes against Munster at Thomond Park to step closer to home URC play-off quarter-final.

Thomond was pulsating with Munster on the drive, but the men in red let the restart bounce then Crabery sent a wild pass at the unprepared Coombes who knocked-on to hand Warriors an attacking scrum right in front of the posts. We need to look at how we manage the position we had got ourselves into better during the second half. Miotti nailed the touchline conversion. One thing is for certain, Warriors are now in the play-offs no matter what, because the lowest they can finish is seventh. They need to finish in the top four for that home play-off draw. The attacking line-out malfunctioned but Munster’s momentum had been broken.

Glasgow Warriors turned in a ruthless five-try performance to claim a 38-26 bonus-point BKT United Rugby Championship win over Munster at Thomond Park.

Prop Wycherley replied in the 70th minute after Coombes was stopped short. A long pass from Casey released Nash for the right corner, but it was too little, too late from Munster. Carbery converted and also added the extras to Casey’s follow-up effort, the scrum-half darting over from a ruck.

The score left Munster trailing 0-28 at the break, in what was one of the worst 40 minutes for Munster in living memory. Munster looked extremely flat early on, and it was no surprise when Glasgow scored again in the 25th minute through captain Stafford McDowall. Glasgow struck first with an unstoppable maul try in the 6th minute, with hooker Fraser Brown gescoring, after the Munster scrum had conceded a penalty from the first scrum of the game.
