According to the financial technology company, Revolut will be offering premiums of up to 30 per cent cheaper than the next best provider in the market as well as offering eligible customers additional discounts of up to 25 per cent off if they enable the Smart Driving feature. Beginning in Spring, Irish customers will now be offered car insurance, with the waitlist being rolled out today before the official launch.
According to the fintech app, Revolut is the first in the market to provide an app-based car insurance journey, with customers able to receive an initial quote in less than five minutes. The provider has vowed to offer premiums "30% cheaper than the next best provider in the market," based on 33 consumer profiles across five of Ireland's leading insurance companies. Revolut has vowed to make car insurance "competitive and flexible" as the global fintech app expands further into the Irish market.
By installing an optional Smart Driving device in their cars, Revolut customers will be able to get personalised rates for car insurance.

Revolut credit cards will come with an initial interest-free period and be available to all eligible users with “an immediate approval process”. Revolut claims that it can offer its flexible service at premiums up to 30pc cheaper than the next best provider in the market.
The lucky winner will be announced after a draw and receive the money directly into their account.
"With both annual and monthly payment options available, Revolut Car Insurance will offer customers flexible payment options with no hidden fees such as interest rates on monthly payments, widespread in Ireland today. Additionally, Revolut users that sign up to the waitlist by April 13 this year and buy a policy from Revolut by 30th May 2024 will get a chance to win €2,500. The quick and easy onboarding journey is fully digital with less than five minutes to get a quote for those eligible - several times faster than the market standard. Customers opting in for Smart Driving will have tailored prices based on their driving behaviour and will be able to get "better rates every year". Revolut will perform a draw on June 15, 2024, crediting the money into the winner’s account by June 30, 2024 and letting them know through their registered Revolut email.
