Alex Carey too has missed the opener due to illness and he could come in the place of Josh Inglis. Plenty have been spoken about KL Rahul in the last few months. He scored an unbeaten 45 in the chase of 188 in Mumbai, where he also bowled a tight spell and scalped two wickets. Jadeja made a brilliant return to ODI cricket after a gap of nearly eight months and was named Player of the Match straightaway. The match could start on time, and also stadium also has a good drainage system! And three spinners is something we might go with in the World Cup, so we want to try." Starc to bowl the first over for Australia. Gill fails to connect well, and it goes off the outer half of his bat, straight to Labuschagne for a catch at backward point! ROhit goes for a drive, but gets a big edge and it goes to Smith, who gets it in the second take! It swings into middle and Suryakumar was going to drive, and the ball hits him on the knee, would have struck off stump! A good delivery by Starc, onto the pads. India v Australia: second men's one-day international – live (The Guardian)

WICKET! Hardik c Smith b Abbott 1 (India 49-5). CARNAGE! Steve Smith with one of the all time great slip catches. Abbott hits his hard length again, Hardik ...

They went to the Caribbean and Bangladesh on the team plane during the pandemic for white-ball tours, but not this. The two sides are out in the middle. Rohit then gets off strike easily with a gentle guide down to third with the angle of the left-armer bowling across him from over the wicket. 2nd over: India 19-1 (Rohit 10, Kohli 6) Cameron Green shares the new ball, and he starts with a lovely full outswinger that shapes nicely through the air. Starc found the perfect length, a hint of wobble, and beat the outside edge and the top of off stump by inches. The first regulation over of the match. Another gift from India with Rohit slashing at a wide length delivery with flat feet, thrashing an edge through to Smith at second slip who does superbly to react to the initial blow then hold on as the ball threatened to wriggle free. That is a beauty from Starc, thundering into the crease, landing the ball on a perfect line and length, finding a hint of movement into the right hander and beating the bat. Abbott hits his hard length again, Hardik holds his bat out to dry and Smith flies to his right at second slip like a dolphin gambolling in the ocean, clutching the ball at the farthest point of his reach. 12th over: India 64-5 (Kohli 28, Jadeja 8) Kohli hasn’t seen much of the strike during this top-order collapse, but he shows his eye is still in with a delicate late glance down to third for four. The player of the match from Friday is eight from 18 and has already ridden his luck on two occasions. Full, straight, angled in from over the crease, and Kohli plays around it to be trapped plumb in front.

India Vs Australia, 2nd ODI: Australia Hammer India With A 10 ... (Outlook India)

Chasing a meagre target of 118 after Mitchell Starc's 5/53 had destroyed India's batting, the tourists completed the task in just 11 overs.

The ultra-aggressive approach from Marsh and Head saw Australia race to 66 in the first six overs bowled by Mohammad Shami and Mohammed Siraj. The tall left-arm bowler once again turned out to be tormentor-in-chief as his five-wicket haul blew away India in just 26 overs. After recording their fourth-lowest total at home and overall third lowest against Australia in ODIs, Indian bowlers were in for an uphill task. They, however, couldn't do much on a pitch assisting seam and swing bowling, where Starc and Co. On what appeared to be a flight deck here, for the second time in the series, India were off to a poor start with Starc causing the maximum damage inside the first five overs, finding swing but no seam movement with overcast conditions and strong wind blowing across throughout the first innings. While the decisive damage was done by Starc, Sean Abbott (3/23) and Nathan Ellis (2/13) then bowled hard lengths to run through the lower-middle order in what turned out to be a disastrous day for the hosts.

India vs Australia, second ODI: Mitchell Starc's five-for leaves hosts ... (Scroll.in)

Australia lost Friday's low-scoring opener and now need 118 runs to keep the three-match series alive.

Wickets kept tumbling and the departure of Ravindra Jadeja, the hero from Friday’s first match in Mumbai, for 16 off the bowling of Ellis added to India’s woes. The left-arm quick rattled India when he struck in the first over of the match, sending back Shubman Gill for a duck after Australia’s decided to bowl first in Visakhapatnam. Australia’s Mitchell Starc led an inspired pace attack with a five-wicket haul to help bowl India out for a paltry 117 in the second one-day international on Sunday.

Starc (5/53) wreaked havoc as Australia bundled out the Rohit Sharma-led side for 117 in 26 overs after inviting them to bat first.

So, it's feeling in a good place and hopefully it continues." "I thought our bowlers were outstanding. We didn't apply ourselves with the bat. India vs Australia: Shaun Tait reveals where India batters got it ... (India Today)

Shaun Tait revealed what the Indian batters did wrong in the Vizag ODI and said they had set up for the game thinking that it was a flat pitch.

Today, for example, what the Indian players did wrong was to setup for as if it was a flat pitch. I think he got it right and the batters got it wrong. A left-armer who bowls at around 145 and can swing the ball is dangerous for anybody. Even in Mumbai, it had something for the fast bowlers and obviously, it did today as well. India suffered an embarrassing loss in the second ODI as Australia won the match by 10 wickets. He just wants to swing the ball and get on the stumps basically.

It is something that I have done for a long time, be aggressive and take wickets and, today, our whole bowling attack did that, when we had six wickets in the powerplay. "This is still (an ongoing) series against India, which we want to win. "That is a big step forward in one-day cricket, when you have a powerhouse batting unit like India have. I think that has just been my role to try and take wickets upfront in the powerplay and that means that I tend to bowl fuller lengths than some other guys like Cameron Green or Pat (Cummins) or Josh (Hazlewood)," he said. Asked if he had a plan for Surya, Starc said, "I cannot say if I have thought it that way (as to) who is the batter at the other end. "My plan has not changed for 13 years, which is to bowl full at the stumps and try to swing it in.
