Budget carrier Ryanair is expanding operations from its Dublin base this summer by adding another 14 short-haul destinations.

The airline said it is expecting to see a 10% growth in passenger traffic out of Dublin this summer, compared to last year. Mr Wilson said the incentives aimed at rebuilding traffic post-pandemic – which were put in place by the Dublin Airport Authority using Government funding – had been instrumental. Ryanair’s chief executive Eddie Wilson said yesterday: ‘When costs are lower, we will reward that with additional traffic and we have done that throughout Europe.’
