Cheltenham Festival Day 2 Tips: Sir Gerhard to land festival hat-trick (Everything Horse UK)

The unbeaten A Dream To Share is quite well fancied here after winning nicely at Leopardstown last time out. At odds of 14/1, an each-way bet is far from out of the question, especially with five places being paid in places. We get to see something a little different, and the race is rarely short of excitement. That form is some of the strongest on offer, while, he’s also the only course and distance winner in the field having bolted up in a trial for this race in November. That form suggests he’s got a big chance and is well worthy of each-way support at 12/1. He finished fourth in the Boodles Juvenile at this meeting last year, while he looked to have improved for the step up when winning well at Navan last time out, beating some decent company in the process. One who really catches the eye is Couer Sublime, who has a touch of class about him. He will have to show a little bit more than when finishing sixth of eight at Navan back in February. Impaire Et Passe is hoty fancied to go well in this race and is considered by many to be one of the best Cheltenham day 2 tips. He stayed on strongly to win the Champion Bumper back in 2021, before powering clear in the Ballymore last year. There is however one who stands above the rest in terms of form. There’s also the small matter of the Coral Cup, which is one of the biggest betting races of the year.

Cheltenham Tips: Matt Chapman's Picks for Day 2 of the Festival (Paddy Power News)

Cheltenham 2023 Wednesday gets under way with the Grade 1 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle over two miles and five furlongs. GOOD LAND might not be quite good enough ...

A bit of fun here in the Glenfarclas Chase over three miles and six furlongs. A former County Hurdle sixth and Bumper fourth returned to form at Sandown last time and gets in here off a mark of 149 having once been up to 153. The Jeu St Eloi gelding blitzed his rivals in a point-to-point and hacked up at Navan on bumper debut. Another Grade 1 in the Grade 1 Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase over an extended three miles. EDWARDSTONE might not want the ground to be too soft but he does have form with juice and is probably more reliable than Energumene who sometimes can be a weak finisher. GOOD LAND might not be quite good enough if there is a real peach in here, but he has stamina proven and has been in great form for Barry Connell and Michael O’Sullivan.

If you are ahead of the bookies by that last race on Wednesday, you could do worse than have two little each-way fivers on King of Kingsfield (33/1) and D Art D Art (50/1). Elliott may also make it a good day for Ireland by winning the second race, the Brown Advistory Chase (2.10), with the favourite Gerri Colombe (7/4). If Galvin takes to this quirky race, surely he has the class to win it? And Impaire et Passe has been backed for this win as though he is a certainty. And the rain that fell in Cheltenham on Monday won’t hurt his chances either. This year’s edition will be special.

Willie Mullins often runs a very smart one in the Dublin Racing Festival bumper he won so the second Fact To File is probably very well thought of but the winner came from out the back, travelled past him strongly and stretched clear at the finish for a convincing win while carrying a few lbs more. One for Willie Mullins who is 0-6, one for Gordon Elliott, who has had five runners for one winner and three places and one for Joseph O’Brien who’s had two places from six runners. Gordon Elliott has become the new Enda Bolger in this and has the worthy favourite in Delta Work, but at a much bigger price and with strong place prospects is SNOW LEOPARDESS, who is very appealing. #AD 18+ New Customers Only - Place a £10 Sportsbook bet on Horse racing between the 13th and 17th March, at min. Only deposits via cards will qualify, Apple pay not valid on this promotion. His previous course run here on New Year's Day can be seriously marked up behind The Real Whacker which turned in to a tactical affair with the first two being the same through out and Thunder Rock finishing well to get close to Monmiral in 3rd. Cheltenham Festival 2023 day two tips: Newsboy fancies ... (Mirror.co.uk)

Newsboy thinks the Alan King-trained Edwardstone can win the Queen Mother Champion Chase (3.30, nap) on day two of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.

Having drawn a blank from five attempts on the Flat for Aidan O’Brien, Galileo’s son made the frame in each of his five starts over obstacles for Paul Nolan, the highlights being victory in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle and a fourth to Brazil in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle last March. The rain has gone against Nube Negra and Captain Guinness looks up against it, but Greaneteen has a role to play on his best form and is the suggestion for those seeking to play at big odds. Pick up your Daily Mirror every day of the festival for racing specials, day by day updates and free bet EVERY DAY. Returning to the highest level for the Clarence House Chase, re-routed from frostbound Ascot to Cheltenham in January, Edwardstone went under by a head to Editeur Gu Gite, six and a half lengths to the good of 4-9 favourite Energumene ,with Funambule Sivola again well held in fifth. His four-and-a-quarter-length romp at the 2022 Festival was the high point of an impressive rookie campaign over the larger obstacles, and Alan King’s nine-year-old made a taking return to action in the Grade 1 Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown Park at the start of December, streaking to a nine-length supremacy over Greaneteen , with Funambule Sivola , a 40-1 second in the Champion Chase 12 months ago, last of the sextet.

CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL TIPS - DAY TWO: All the best bets for Wednesday as Energumene and Edwardstone resume rivalries in the Queen Mother Champion Chase, while The ...

There are plenty of runners in this race but it is one of the least competitive and most of them will struggle to lay a glove on Keith Donoghue’s mount. She did not fire at Leopardstown last time, but slower ground and a drop in trip should see her run well. I was impressed with him and he looks a value bet in the Brown Advisory contest. His best effort came at Christmas, however, when he obliterated his rivals in the Challow Hurdle at Newbury. Given his price, victory for the eight-year-old could see him cast as villain of the piece by punters. Last season, Sir Gerhard was an impressive winner of the Ballymore and he made a winning debut over fences. This season’s Paul Nicholls-trained winner Hermes Alle n looks well up to that standard and he can prove that in the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle. Plenty of eyes will be on him as the action unfolds. He disappointed in the Savills Chase but the prospect of better ground on the X-Country course should suit. BACK ON THE LASH would have preferred the rain to have missed Cheltenham, but he loves this track. That effort took its toll in the dying strides, but it was a highly encouraging display, and he should strip sharper mentally and physically today. He ought to be on the premises.
