The writing was on the wall along way from home as Energumene jumped his way to the front three out and never came out of fourth gear. The final race on the card went the way of the John Kiely trained runner, A Dream To Share. He travelled strongly through the race and once he hit the front the only danger was the fences ahead of him. Once he got safely over that fence there was little doubt in the result. The second last of the day is the Grand Annual Handicap Chase. A superb round of jumping put his rivals to the sword early in the race and he had just enough reserved in tank to hold on.
