Consider this your cheat sheet for the 95th Academy Awards—from the date and the host to who will perform (Rihanna!).

Three other nominated songs will also be performed: “Applause” (from Tell It like a Woman), “Naatu Naatu” (RRR), and “This Is a Life” (Everything Everywhere All at Once). “Being invited to host the Oscars for a third time is either a great honor or a trap,” Kimmel joked, in a statement accompanying the announcement on November 7, 2022. Typically, the previous years’ Best Actor winner presents the award (he won for King Richard). But this year, three are vying for the top prize: Top Gun: Maverick, Avatar: The Way Of Water and Elvis. Will Smith was banned from attending the ceremony for 10 years.
