“We didn’t get the try early on, lost Caelan, it was a monumental effort but that’s what these boys expect of each other. If we get any more injuries in the week we might have to have a look at Old Belvedere under-12s. He's not in the dressing-room, he's in the medical room. He was stretchered off with an oxygen mask covering his face but did give a thumbs up to fans as he left the field. A bit of organised chaos at half-time, but everyone had a smile on their face. Ireland's Garry Ringrose given oxygen on pitch after horror incident ... (Mirror.co.uk)

Ireland star Garry Ringrose was the last casualty in an injury-ridden outing for the guests at Murrayfield, leaving the pitch on a stretcher after he ...

Farrell said after Sunday's win that Ringrose was talking in the medical room and 'taking his time' as he gathered his senses. However, nothing but the maximum haul will do for an Ireland team currently ranked No. The result leaves Farrell's favourites four points ahead at the table summit with one round of fixtures to play, meaning even a draw against England would guarantee the crown. Robbie Henshaw's return to fitness couldn't have been timed better given Ringrose's injury, with Leinster set to lose another star midfielder just as the other made his first appearance of 2023. However, there was some cause for comfort after the 50-cap star managed to give the crowd a feeble thumbs up as he was carted off. The Leinster man will be one of numerous new concerns for head coach Andy Farrell, who lost forward trio Caelan Doris, Dan Sheehan and Iain Henderson to injuries during Sunday's first half.

Caelan Doris, Dan Sheehan and Iain Henderson were all forced off in the first half.

We lost Caelan in the midst of it, so hopefully he’s going to be OK (for next week). “Caelan Doris, we’d a double-whammy didn’t we in that regard with the try getting chalked off for them using a fresh ball. He’s not in the dressing-room, he’s in the medical room. It’s similar to what he did in France last year. “Iain Henderson’s in a cast already with his wrist. The disruption continued five minutes later when second row Iain Henderson picked up a suspected arm injury, with Ryan Baird taking his place.

There was more positive news on two more of the walking wounded. Dan Sheehan's x-ray showed up with no serious issues after he left the fray, in the first half. Referee Luke Pearce asked assistant Wayne Barnes how Ringrose was, as play raged on, but there was a wait before sense prevailed and the game was paused. Play was then held up for more than five minutes as the Leinster centre, winning his 50th Ireland cap today, received medical attention.

We’ll go again, we’ll have a good squad. A bit of organised chaos at half-time, but everyone had a smile on their face.
