Munster needed a spark, and they got it with the introduction of Snyman on 63 minutes, which brought Musgrave Park to its feet. Sam Costellow’s conversion brought it back to 28-7, but normal service was resumed before the break, when Munster got their fifth, Daly breaking through some tame tackling to weave his way under the posts to score. The Scarlets had won six in a row coming into this game, but there was a gulf between the sides in the opening quarter. A sixth Carbery conversion made it 42-14, with then out-half making way for Jack Crowley shortly after. On 10 minutes, they almost had another try when Kleyn lost control of the ball as he reached out to score, but it didn’t matter. Rowntree's side were comfortable in possession and moving through the phases, with big carries from Daly, Salanoa and Coombes, before some quick hands from Carbery saw them move the ball wide to Frisch.

Jack Crowley and Daly combined to send Nash over for his second try in the 65th minute, but the biggest cheer of the night had come just before when RG Snyman made his first appearance for the club in seventeen months. Calvin Nash then slipped through a gap in the 13th minute after being fed by Paddy Patterson and they had the third try in the 23rd minute when Joey Carbery and Nash combined to send Shane Daly over in the left corner. The bonus point was secured in the 28th minute when Patterson sniped in for a simple try before Scarlets centre Joe Roberts got one back when he scored in the 35th minute, but Munster completed the first half scoring when Daly raced in for his second try after a clever pass by Carbery, to leave it 35-7 at the break.

The second half was a much closer affair with Scarlets finding their groove. And with Munster opting to run at every opportunity there was little surprise when the hard-working Shane Daly got the first of his tries after 24 minutes and the bonus point was wrapped up three minutes later when scrumhalf Paddy Patterson skipped through a sleepy defence to score. Munster beat spirited Scarlets in 13-try thriller (BBC Sport)

Munster and Scarlets produced a try-feast as the hosts maintained their United Rugby Championship challenge. Tries from Patrick Campbell, Calvin Nash, ...

Munster hosted Scarlets in front of a sold out Musgrave Park crowd, a ground where they have not lost since November 2019. Gareth Davies and Tom Rogers added Scarlets fifth and sixth tries of the evening to grab a further point to take back to Llanelli. Despite hope being restored for Scarlets through a Joe Roberts try, the belief was shattered as Daly sliced through soft defending, for his second try of the evening, as the Welsh rugby woes continued. Rampant Munster grabbed the bonus-point inside half an hour when the diminutive Patterson, who continues to impress in the absence of Ireland international duo Craig Casey and Conor Murray, sharply picked up a loose ball to step the final defender. That form has been a rare positive amongst the tumultuous off-field events in Welsh rugby, with all four of the nation's regions Munster and Scarlets produced a try-feast as the hosts maintained their United Rugby Championship challenge.
