Are they prepared to take the discomfort that would go with that and channel it in the right way? Three games on the trot, a break and then two, or vice versa, is doable. Look at the last 15 minutes when the game was up for grabs. Other teams will have plans in place for this weekend too, albeit perhaps not as exotic as Limerick’s. They scrawl it on their hands and wrists, it’s posted on dressing room walls, but do they push themselves to those extremes in training? Why wasn’t it there last Sunday? Nickie Quaid to Barry Nash, Nash to Dan Morrissey, Kyle Hayes off the shoulder and now they are out. And if they don’t, are they held accountable? There was no sign of it in Galway last Sunday. Have they that ignorance, shall I say, to do all of that? He said the same thing since on League Sunday so it’s something he’s holding firm on. Any tactics are moot if you don’t have that.
