The Bundesliga was the perfect breeding ground for Klopp and one can certainly see the appeal of Liverpool returning to that market in 2026 in the search for his replacement. He also seems to be getting a tune out of the oft-touted Moussa Diaby, who was misfiring at the start of the campaign but has netted six goals since his arrival. Even more impressive is the fact that the former Reds midfielder has largely pulled off the feat with a reliance on youth prospects. Gerrard, who is considered by many to be the club's greatest-ever player, still has time to breathe new life into his managerial career but it would be fair to say his stock has taken a bit of a knock following his sacking at Aston Villa, despite impressing in Scotland with Rangers previously.
