Outer Banks' John B and Sarah Cameron have put their relationship by risking their lives together — their complete relationship timeline.
And while that’s not always easy, our job is to leave the show better than we found it, to leave the season better than we found it. “I give you this sweaty piece of my father’s bandana as a token of my love,” John B croons to Sarah, who is recovering from a gunshot wound after her brother, Rafe (Drew Starkey), shot her. The pair have overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles — including Sarah’s father’s attempted murder of both John B and his father — even exchanging vows in the third episode of season 2. “And that no matter what happens in our personal lives, and the ways that life sometimes takes you in different directions, that we’re always going to honor the work. “They’re definitely, yet again, going to be tested.” The Maryland native and the [Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery](https://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/pictures/glass-onion-every-cameo-in-knives-out-sequel/) star’s characters, who are from opposite sides of the tracks, form an instant connection, facing — and overcoming — roadblocks that threaten to tear them apart at every turn. “They handled themselves unbelievably on set, and you would never know that they had an off-camera relationship. Despite their breakup, neither of the The sparks between Stokes and Cline eventually flew behind the camera, as well, and the duo confirmed they were dating in June 2020. I think we were just so invested in the work.” Let’s not screw it up!’ So, it was just always work-oriented — really until the day we wrapped,” Stokes exclusively told Us Weekly in February 2021.

The Pogues orchestrate an almost-successful plan to win back the cross before jumping overboard and taking a lifeboat to The Pogues observe from a distance, then sneak onto the boat as stowaways to rescue Sarah and take back the cross. Through a series of clues deciphered through historical artifacts, the Pogues find the cross, but end up losing it to Rafe and Limbrey. The boat is seen capsizing, but John B and Sarah somehow manage to survive, then get rescued by a cargo ship headed to the Bahamas — where the gold has been flown by Ward’s pilot. ▪ Hello, Bahamas — Season 2 opens with plenty of action, as John B and Sarah arrive in the Bahamas as fugitives and are captured by the crew on the cargo ship that originally brought them to the island country. The group heads back to the Outer Banks, where John B is (wrongly) arrested for the murder of the sheriff. John B and Sarah manage to escape the island using a boat owned by JJ’s abusive father, heading straight into the storm. Most of the show’s main characters — teens John B, Pope, JJ and Kiara — consider themselves to be Pogues, while born-Kook Sarah Cameron becomes more of a Pogue as she begins a star-crossed romance with John B. Two main groups exist on the show’s fictional Outer Banks setting: the Pogues, or the working-class locals who live on “the Cut,” and the Kooks, the rich, upper-class people who live on Figure Eight Island — — Ward retrieves the gold, then makes plans to fly it by private plane to the Bahamas. Main character John B introduces the Outer Banks early on in the pilot episode, referring to it as “Paradise on Earth.” The characters — who, as John B says in a voiceover, are on a summer mission to “have a good time, all the time” — spend lots of time on the water, surfing, boating and fishing. ▪ Welcome to the Outer Banks — Let’s start with some scene-setting.

"Outer Banks" is one such show. Netflix describes this show as a treasure hunt that is linked to the protagonist's father's disappearance.
Knowing that there is no way they can tell the truth to the authorities, John B decides to escape. When John gets the letter translated, he comes to know that the gold is buried in a certain spot on the island, and he asks Sarah to bring the map to him. The entire island is now chasing John, but the biggest source of frustration for them, especially Pope, is that the plane with the gold takes off to the Bahamas. Everyone tries to tell the authorities the truth of the matter, but the situation is such that it just doesn’t happen. He had crawled to the shore and carved the clue on his compass for his son to eventually find, which is how the situation had gotten so far. He takes the money and spends it on some of the most frivolous things, which angers Pope and Kiara, but when they see the bruises on his body, they understand what must have happened and rush to hug their friend. John B’s father has been missing for nine months, and he is on the verge of being taken away by social services and placed in a foster home, which is delayed due to a storm. But the day the two teenagers have spent together makes it clear that they have feelings for each other, and they decide to act on them. The search for Redfield takes John and his friends to a lighthouse, where the caretaker gives them a clue as to where the Royal Merchant could be. While out in the water one day, they come across a submerged boat, and since the kids cannot differentiate between trouble and adventure, they decide to see what is in the boat and if they can get any valuable items. It is the story of a group of teenagers who have more guts than brains, but still, there is a charm to the series that appeals to our millennial senses. Good writing coming together with good actors is nothing short of magic on screen, and we are glad we were able to witness that with “Outer Banks.” With the third season on the horizon, let us take a look at everything that happened in the first season.

We kind of had lightning in a bottle season 1, and I was so excited about the response to season 1, I just kept thinking like when is it going to end? It means the world because this project means the world to us as the cast, but the other half of making a show is also putting it in front of people, and seeing how they receive it. To see that be such a positive response time and time again is just the most overwhelming and amazing thing to watch. “And I think it's because the action and the adventure has ramped up. All in the days work for an average 16-year-old in the Outer Banks. The show premiered its first season on Netflix while many watchers were stuck at home, so a small, yet rowdy cult-like following emerged following the teen action series.

Rafe and Ward have the cross and the gold, but knowing that it is the legacy of Denmark Tanny, the pogues’ need to get the treasure is a matter of pride and justice and not just the money. But another surprise for everyone is that the rest of the Pogues are also on the ship, for the cross, and for Sarah. As for the Pogues, John and Sarah make up, and when they are on their mission to retrieve the cross, Sarah is kidnapped by her mother and taken away on a ship, where it turns out that her father is alive after all, and they are all escaping to make a new life somewhere else. While Kiara’s parents put her out of the house due to her irresponsibility towards them, Pope discovers that he is the descendant of Denmark Tanny. Clara finds that in Sarah’s home, where an entire room is the map of the island, which has been hidden beneath the wallpaper all this time; when Sarah sees that, she and the Pogues figure out that the treasure must be at the base of the Angel Oak tree on Goat Island. That is when they discover the clue to the treasure, which is in a church. While this problem is behind them, Sarah breaks up with Jon as she needs time to process everything that has happened, and she is unable to lean on John as he wouldn’t be able to support her in her grief when he hated her father for what he had done to John’s family. He confesses to all his crimes and even takes the blame for the murder of Sheriff Peterkin to let his son off the hook. Clara tells him that Denmark Tanny had brought freedom to his sons, but when he tried to do the same for his wife, she was shot dead by her owners as she was trying to escape. While he unsuccessfully tries to steal the gold from Ward’s house, Sarah is kidnapped by the captain and his crew. But unknown to Sarah and John, Ward Cameron has also come to the Bahamas. Another instance from the same episode is that of the wasp nest.
Class-warfare treasure-hunting YA series from Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke has gotten too big for its britches.
Somehow, the presence of a thousand hands for hire, constant street chases and shootouts aren’t enough to make the hour-long episodes go faster. Season Three of Outer Banks relies heavily on narration and flashbacks to keep its momentum going, a party trick that does little to hide its thin plot. It’s a pity, then, that Season Three sacrifices nearly all of the show’s original charm to keep its already-unbelievable treasure hunt theme going just a little while longer. Rutledge (Chase Stokes) and his friends Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), and JJ (Rudy Pankow), known as the Pogues (a play on “pogies,” a type of small fish). By sheer luck, and the intervention of Jamaican newcomer Cleo (Carlacia Grant), the friends got out of enemy hands and became stranded on a desert island nicknamed Poguelandia. 23 — opens with the Pogues cheerfully enjoying their tropical paradise, it quickly leaves the island behind, sending the intrepid teens on the run (once again) in a last-ditch attempt to find their fortune and maybe stay alive in the process.
