Ireland Soccer legend Liam Brady will feature tonight in a documentary about his life and career. But what do we know about his family life?

Once Brady had finished playing professionally he moved into management and was at the helm at Celtic between 1991-93 and Brighton from 1993 until 1995. After leaving Arsenal in 1980 he went to Italy and played for giants such as Juventus, Sampdoria and Inter Milan. He retired in 1990 after spells with Ascoli and West Ham. He moved to London aged just 15 in 1971 to sign for Arsenal. He made his debut for the North London side as a substitute against Birmingham City in October 1973. Liam has now enrolled in the Plunkett Technical School in Whitehall, but may never sit the Intermediate. "This has caused the school a lot of embarrassment and trouble. He simply told me that, if I did not play for the school, I need not bother coming back," said Liam. "If the boy comes to the school we will consider re-admitting him." He was also a talented GAA player in his youth. First brought in in 1905, it remained in place all the way up until 1971.

To beat Brazil is good, but to get the goal was great. It was what dreams were made of to make a debut like that. I wish to thank you for what you did during my time with the Republic. So I decided there and then that was it, I retired.” I knew walking across the pitch that this was the end. “I think I had a way I thought football should be played and he had his way.
