Thibaut Courtois or Odysseas Vlachodimos? João Cancelo or Theo Hernández? Jude Bellingham or Galeno? Erling Haaland or Victor Osimhen?
Given Napoli scored 20 goals over the course of the group stage, Osimhen could prove to be the ultimate differential diamond. Galeno delivered 35 Fantasy points across Porto’s most recent four fixtures in the UEFA Champions League after scoring twice, adding an assist and twice being named Player of the Match. Hernández should be afforded plenty of opportunity to push forward from left-back and with Milan at home in the first leg against Tottenham, the Italian champions will be eager for a first-leg lead. His vast ownership will now be hoping to see the same offensive potency against Paris as Cancelo aims to add to his four assists from the group stage. Although Vlachodimos has not replicated his Fantasy returns of last season, the Benfica goalkeeper's excellent recent domestic form makes him worthy of serious consideration. Carlo Ancelotti's side face Liverpool in the round of 16 with the first leg at Anfield with Courtois having conceded just one goal in his last four starts for Madrid.
Chicago Bears fan Cade McHenry is now known for his dancing on TikTok after his fantasy football punishment turned him into a viral sensation.
We were never theater guys," McHenry said "I've been texting my friends all day that it's absolutely unreal. And I honestly like, it all feels fake still."
As a result of losing a fantasy football league, Cade McHenry's friends posed the penalty: record a TikTok dance every day for 30 days.
"I'm a lifetime athlete and my biggest dream was always [to be] on 'SportsCenter' Top Ten and you know what, dancing got me there," McHenry said. "My buddy has been hounding me since the fantasy season had ended. Cade McHenry will join the Chicago Bears at their training camp this summer after this 30-days dance challenge penalty went viral on TikTok.

They loved that the 22-year-old Chicago resident completed his penalty despite the fact that he was not looking forward to it. The Chicago Bears fan had a penalty posed on him as a result of losing the fantasy league.

Perhaps, the most surprising of stats is that Magnus has yet to take a hit. A peak now into the murky world of the transfer market to see which of them has been most successful. - Zophar – Nketiah, Fernandes (Kane, Almiron) - Pras – Nketiah, Fernandes (Kane, Almiron) Magnus continues to surprise us by handing the armband to Luke Shaw (£5.3m). - FPL Matthew – Nketiah, Fernandes (Kane, Almiron) Operation: Buy Bruno was in full swing this week, with the majority of them fancying a Portuguese playmaker. - FPL Harry – Fernandes (Salah) - Finn Sollie – Nketiah, Fernandes (Kane, Almiron) Now that is a super green arrow! He is just two points behind Ben Crellin, with both residing in the top 3,000. Jones seems to think Luton Town were the best team in Europe last season; I am not sure even mad Hatter fans would agree with that assessment.
The answer, of course, is partly team dependent. In fact, over 11% of managers inside the top 10k had already used the chip before Gameweek 22.
As a result, it’s likely you’ll have a bigger squad, with more money left on your bench each week. If using your Wildcard ahead of Gameweek 29, Free Hitting in Blank Gameweek 32 – which coincides with the FA Cup semi-finals – could form a nice chip strategy. If a team has a score of 2.00, it’s a guaranteed Double for that club, while a lower figure – like the one we see for Manchester City in Gameweek 28 – suggests there is a high chance of a Blank.
After a poor season so far for Liverpool, might their assets start to be the difference-makers over the coming weeks in FPL?
Aside from Liverpool’s two fixtures in Gameweek 25, another reason to go for Salah and Nunez is that they are both owned by relatively few FPL managers, so it’s a good time to get ahead of the curve. The Uruguayan may not be the most clinical, but he is a player who arrives in great goal-scoring positions, reflected in his high xG. If Liverpool start to score goals more freely again, it’ll likely be Salah or Nunez involved. And with Van Dijk and [Ibrahima Konate](https://theathletic.com/football/player/ibrahima-konate-vi83z5XUFDUq6gFF/) (£4.8m) out injured, there is little confidence that Liverpool’s defence will improve soon. Although this may lead us to believe that Nunez is a bad finisher, his career stats tell us differently. He has also created 38 chances with an xA (expected assists) of 3.1. He will be worth buying again — at the right time. He has seven goals and five assists this season, with the highest xG (9.17) among midfielders (which is what FPL classes him as). Things are likely to improve in this regard with the return of injured players such as In attack, last season Liverpool had already scored 52 goals by this point, with an xG of 50.38. They have conceded 28 goals with an expected goals conceded (xGC) of 29.2. After the same number of games last season, they had conceded 18 goals, with an xGC of 19.72.

Former Sky Fantasy Football winner Dan Cox previews Sky Gameweek 28 and reveals his team plans, exclusively on Fantasy Football Hub.
And there's only been two games when he scored twice in a game. City have also kept only two clean sheets in the Premier League since Halloween. Mohamed Salah (£11.7m) is still in 41.1% of the top 1,000 teams despite just one goal in his last seven league games. The Gunners have a massive fixture swing over United. Only four times has he hit double-digit points in a game this season. That’s just seven goals in 20 starts all season. It's especially good for those days when plans can change last minute. It's no surprise people are considering Everton assets instead. [rearranged fixtures announced](https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-blank-double-gameweek-guide) this week, Dan also takes an in-depth look at what this means for Sky managers. It's a 6-2 if you make the moves on Saturday or it’s a 5-1 if you move United players to Arsenal ahead of the City game. The only thing to remember is that Fulham do have a single game day against Wolves on February 24, so if you do plan on moving him on you won’t have a captain that night. Palhinha to Mitoma is only a £0.6m price increase and I’m sure most have spare money in the bank.
From Anthony Martial (£6.5m) to Hugo Lloris (£5.5m), we're rounding up what we know on the team news front ahead of Gameweek 23 in Fantasy Premier League ...
Ibrahima Konate (muscle) joined them on the sidelines ahead of Gameweek 22, while Fabinho missed out due to illness. The availability of Anthony Martial and Antony for Gameweek 23 is in doubt after Erik ten Hag ruled the pair out of the midweek clash against Leeds, a match that Aaron Wan-Bissaka also missed due to “illness”. I don’t think it is a long time but we have to see how it develops in the coming days. Ricardo Pereira (Achilles) will play for the under-21s in a bid to build up match fitness. “At the minute, it is his hip. Lloyd Kelly and Jack Stephens are new additions to the injury list, having sat out the Brighton defeat with calf problems. So we do everything and Anthony Martial is doing everything. Shandon Baptiste could make a return to the Bees’ matchday squad, having built up his fitness in January after a couple of months on the sidelines. Alexander Isak should be back, however, having missed Gameweek 22 due to the concussion protocols. None of them featured at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Gabriel Jesus (knee) is back running at London Colney but reports maintain that Thilo Kehrer was substituted at half-time on Tyneside with an unspecified issue.
There may not be a group more devoted to fantasy football than baseball players. But does fantasy baseball resonate inside NFL locker rooms?
[Patrick Mahomes](https://theathletic.com/nfl/player/patrick-mahomes-WWwiw0IQD5ozgrHf/) had declared himself “a baseball player at heart.” He grew up in baseball clubhouses, watching his father’s teammates closely. He is an investor in the [Kansas City Royals](https://theathletic.com/mlb/team/royals/). “Fantasy baseball is so hard. [Miles Sanders](https://theathletic.com/nfl/player/miles-sanders-onjc9SERD33ngDBE/) was wearing a jewel-encrusted necklace with the Pirates’ “P” logo. “On this team?” he answered. But the origins of both fantasy baseball and fantasy football date much earlier. The incident turned into one of the strangest sagas of the MLB season, filled with heated accusations, recriminations, text-thread gossip, and Pham calling Trout “ [the worst commissioner in fantasy sports](https://theathletic.com/3344779/2022/06/01/mike-trout-commissionership-fantasy-football-league/).” I really didn’t know they had fantasy baseball.” [Angels](https://theathletic.com/mlb/team/angels/) center fielder, is known for a few hobbies. Wallace had never heard of fantasy baseball, but he did offer some names of people in the Eagles locker room who might follow baseball. “I’m not going to lie to you.

BBC Radio 5 Live's Alistair Bruce-Ball considers an Arsenal-themed switch as he looks at the options for fantasy football players.
This weekend, Arsenal host Brentford before that and City are at home to Aston Villa - so I'm sticking with Erling Haaland as my captain over those two games but Odegaard, Saka and Nketiah all have very strong claims for the armband. His headed winner, clean sheet and three bonus points against the Gunners last weekend earned his owners a total of 15 points and he's clearly going to continue to be a threat at the attacking set-pieces. And if you want to hear about a totally different way to manage an Fantasy Premier League squad, then have a listen to this week's Fantasy 606 podcast. However, White has serious competition for his place in Takehiro Tomiyasu, whereas Gabriel is always going to be one of the first names on the teamsheet. As for the other Gabriel - Mr Martinelli - he only got 59 minutes in that defeat at Everton before being replaced by Leandro Trossard. The reason for that is that Arsenal have been handed another double gameweek.

We arrive at Double Gameweek 23 with a headache over who to bench, with fringe players having the favourable fixtures.
[Harry Kane](https://theathletic.com/football/player/harry-kane-47vQtg5y5Ub8iFqb/) (£11.7m) joined the [Premier League](https://theathletic.com/football/premier-league/)’s elite goalscorers with his 200th goal against Manchester City at the weekend and [Tottenham](https://theathletic.com/football/team/tottenham-hotspur/) play his favourite opponents, Leicester City, on Saturday. A home game against [Nottingham Forest](https://theathletic.com/football/team/nottingham-forest/) carries high appeal, with his two goals and seven assists this season, although Fulham have failed to score in their last three league fixtures. [Bruno Fernandes](https://theathletic.com/football/player/bruno-fernandes-qr6VV7sJwbrbqULf/) (£9.9m) and [Marcus Rashford](https://theathletic.com/football/player/marcus-rashford-xgQlXcNj79jwXiD4/) (£7.2m) have each returned in five consecutive gameweeks and Fernandes now being on their penalties is important to note. [Kieran Trippier](https://theathletic.com/football/player/kieran-trippier-BrjARZjGyouR7oDx/) (£6.1m) should be a lock in our starting line-up given his ownership, attacking potential and ability to amass bonus points. It becomes particularly troublesome to bench attacking players who are their team’s penalty taker, but Fulham’s Mitrovic has a poor record from the spot recently. [Brentford](https://theathletic.com/football/team/brentford/)’s [Ivan Toney](https://theathletic.com/football/player/ivan-toney-VfYkRN3FErfXXTZN/) and [Ollie Watkins](https://theathletic.com/football/player/ollie-watkins-9nwANNnY4TGed61H/) of [Aston Villa](https://theathletic.com/football/team/aston-villa/) moves them even further down the priority list for a start this weekend, particularly with those games coming away from home. You should also opt to play your other Newcastle defensive assets over those from [Manchester United](https://theathletic.com/football/team/manchester-united/) — Erik ten Hag’s men are on a good run of defensive form, but [Casemiro](https://theathletic.com/football/player/casemiro-wQ6Q8xViV8kqizDc/) will be a huge miss after picking up a three-match suspension with his red card last weekend. We will get such instances in gameweeks 29, 34 and 37. [Chelsea](https://theathletic.com/football/team/chelsea/) and [Brighton](https://theathletic.com/football/team/brighton-and-hove-albion/) defences narrowly over Manchester United’s, with [Reece James](https://theathletic.com/football/player/reece-james-GKa1YfGdueMrjfBr/) (£5.7m) providing an interesting route back into Chelsea’s defence. Price should reflect quality in FPL, after all. [Leicester](https://theathletic.com/football/team/leicester-city/)’s struggling [Danny Ward](https://theathletic.com/football/player/danny-ward-WajkB4rCCNiRZcEu/). [Arsenal](https://theathletic.com/football/team/arsenal/) and [Manchester City](https://theathletic.com/football/team/manchester-city/) — which other five get the nod?

The Cherries should provide Wilson with plenty of chances to score big in Double Gameweek 23. Conte’s side look a different team with Dejan Kulusevski available once more and Kane is the second top scorer so far this season, with an incredible 17 goals in 22 games. Price: 6.8m Points: 44 Gameweek 23 fixture: Brentford (h), Man City (h) Now Spurs’ all-time record goalscorer, Kane has an excellent chance to add some more on Saturday. Price: 8.3m Points: Gameweek 23 fixture: Brentford (h), Man City (h) The key to Arsenal’s creativity, he has only blanked once in a home match since Gameweek 10. Price: 7.0m Points: 119 Gameweek 23 fixture: Brentford (h), Man City (h) Although he only has one [Premier League](https://inews.co.uk/topic/premier-league?ico=in-line_link) appearance under his belt this season, the giant stopper is perfectly placed to take advantage of a kind run of fixtures. We all know what the Belgian is capable of, but his form post-World Cup has been uninspiring and he has been benched for two of City’s last three league matches. For all the hype around Kaoru Mitoma’s form since Roberto de Zerbi joined Brighton, another major beneficiary has been Pervis Estupinan. Ballon d’Orson is back, now in a gold kit befitting his nickname. Starting at the King Power on Saturday, Spurs then face West Ham, Chelsea, Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Southampton and Everton before Lloris is expected to return.
A midweek contest concluded Gameweek 22 on Wednesday night, with another double gameweek on the horizon.
Saka hasn't scored in a league game for Arsenal this season when they've been winning, and considering they have tough games against Brentford and City, he could be the one to draw them level or put them ahead. That's from an expected goal involvement (xGI) of 9.81. It's a double gameweek! Haaland has failed to score in five of his last seven games in all competitions, and a quiet January has carried into February - he didn't register a single shot in the recent defeat at Tottenham. It feels odd to say when he scored a hat-trick fairly recently - and I'm prepared for this to backfire because let's face it the guy is freakishly good - but his goalscoring exploits haven't been what they were at the start of the campaign. A game that could well decide who finishes top come the end of the campaign can sometimes be unattractive to those involved in the game - a tight, low-scoring affair makes forward options occasionally redundant.

Manchester City’s immediate opponents Aston Villa are revitalised under the new stewardship of Unai Emery. Villa place in the bottom two over the last six matches for big chances conceded (20) and non-penalty expected goals conceded (NPxGC, 9.88). Over the last six matches, Arteta’s troops rank third-best for shots inside the box conceded (39) but sit around mid-table for big chances conceded (11) and shots on target against (25). The Norwegian places in the top four for big chances received (10) and expected goals (xG, 3.94) over that same period. De Bruyne’s 19 chances created, six big chances supplied, and 15 successful crosses all play in the division’s top three over the last six matches – which suggests that returns will come for City’s underperformer. Above: Erling Haaland rank second best for big chances received (10) over the last six matches

Fun fact: Haaland’s ownership actually fell just before GW21 - the first time it ever has in FPL - and he responded by netting a hat-trick. But, his style of cutting into the midfield could catch Riyad Mahrez napping against City and cause Brentford issues. Worth a punt as a likely player to start against both old club Villa and then Arsenal.
