Fatal roadblock explosion outside Bandon caused outrage in 1923 (Southern Star Newspaper)

The true facts are that he was, when leaving the parish church at Newcestown, compelled with all the other young men of the congregation, regardless of their political views, to go and remove this mined-road obstruction.’ The local curate Fr O’Connell also voiced his anger and claimed those who were rounded up by the Free State troops were all local innocent men. It was a month which saw much bloodshed in the kingdom, including the infamous Ballyseedy massacre where IRA prisoners were tied to a mine and blown up. They were driven to a road outside the village at Farnalough where they were ordered to remove a roadblock erected there by the anti-treaty IRA. My client feels very much aggrieved that such a construction should be placed upon the occurrence which resulted in his son’s death. One of the wounded, Denis O’Brien, is my brother, the others are friends and neighbours.’ IT was a crisp Sunday morning in West Cork on February 4th 1923.

Why Hank In 1923 Looks So Familiar - Looper (Looper)

And as it stands, we'll surely see a little more of Greyeyes in "1923" as Hank and Teonna have just begun their journey to Montana. The 2000s brought Greyeyes appearances in "Charmed," "Numbers," and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." On the subject of Michael Greyeyes' work as indigenous men in the modern world, few of his performances have been quite as impressive as the one he delivered in the lauded 2021 thriller "Wild Indian." That battle and more are depicted in thrilling detail throughout "Crazy Horse," with Greyeyes delivering a breakout turn in the title role that's as soulfully stirring as it is historically vital. He also turned up in John Sayles' "Sunshine State," the indigenous mystery "Skinwalkers," and Terrance Malick's "The New World." That duality proves pivotal to the narrative when Rainbird's true allegiances are eventually made clear, and Greyeyes has rarely been better than he is in those moments. In 1996, Greyeyes was tasked with telling just such a story when he landed the title role in the TNT movie "Crazy Horse." Some might even argue that the Razzies nomination was all the more deplorable as Armstrong is pretty good in the movie despite working with a screenplay that maybe could've used a revision or three. Though Michael Greyeyes has often played indigenous peoples from the past in his decades-long career, recently, he's particularly excelled at portraying native characters in the modern day. The actor who plays Hank in "1923" is Michael Greyeyes. Sheridan wisely doesn't look at Teonna's predicament with rose-colored glasses in "1923," with the young woman enduring physical and sexual abuse during her boarding school captivity. ["Yellowstone"](https://www.looper.com/197166/the-untold-truth-of-yellowstone/) universe continues to expand, it's only getting more challenging to keep track of [the Dutton family tree](https://www.looper.com/1147850/the-entire-family-tree-from-1923-explained/) and timeline.

Like the so-called "train station" in "Yellowstone," the land covers a zone where people, animals, and secrets, can be hidden from lawmakers. Had this sequence of events not happened, the Rainwater line might have ended with Teonna being eaten alive by the wolves. If the government finds out we got 'em, the government's gonna take them." With the concrete dates given in this episode, it turns out no more than two months have passed. Spencer has wasted no time in starting his journey back to Montana.

'1923' Episode 5 Recap: "Ghost of Zebrina" (Decider)

However Spencer and Alex manage to get out of their latest predicament, it's going to be a doozie.

Of course, while we’re seeing that, we’re also seeing the underside of the tugboat as it languishes in the Arabian Sea, so however Spencer and Alex manage to get out of their latest predicament, it’s going to be a doozie. His work has appeared in The Village Voice, All Music Guide, Pitchfork Media, and Nicki Swift. The tiny tung is caught in its wake, and Alex and Spencer are both thrown mightily from their feet. Out on the open water of Africa’s eastern coast, Spencer and Alex get a crash course in making Lucca’s tugboat go, a process that includes sweet talking the equipment on its aging bridge easing on a northern heading. After Jack pledged himself to Elizabeth, right there in the giant expanse of the Paradise Valley, they considered themselves married – isn’t it funny how the Duttons seem to make their own rules for everything? Spencer had sent word ahead to Montana via wire from a passenger ship docked in Mombasa, and Lucca’s little boat was ambling its way to Suez. I killed the nun who raped me.” But Hank, who knows her people, pulls Teonna onto his horse and prepares to get her to safety. They plan to choke out the Duttons, take their land, and add it to the pile Whitfield already owns, his mining empire stretching across the entire Paradise Valley. They each take a watch before Lucca stands for his, coughing up blood the whole time, and when Spencer awakens below deck, it’s to the engines cut off and the old captain lying dead. But he’s also resourceful, and in a low-lit bar room full of sailors and ship captains, he meets Peter Stormare’s Lucca, the skipper of a rustbucket tugboat. But you can hop a ship to London, a trip that might take a month, depending on traffic in the Suez Canal. The mining baron is buying up ranch land like that of Elizabeth’s father, who died in the ambush, as well as the land others have sold, fed up with drought and economic depression.

1923 season 1 episode 6 spoilers: Resolving the cliffhagner? (CarterMatt)

As we get ourselves prepared for 1923 season 1 episode 6 over on Paramount+, one thing is clear: There is a lot we should prepare for!

If you haven’t read some other articles on episode 5, here’s what we currently think could happen: Spencer could survive, and there is at least a chance that Alex does not make it. Odds are, Sheridan is well aware of the intrigue that this story could provide and with that, he also will have no real reason to slow-play it. The lives of both Spencer and Alex are now in danger after that boat accident, and we have to wait and see if they can be rescued …

The episode ends with the boat overturned, and there are no signs of Alex and Spencer. Hank also implies that he is familiar with the practices of the boarding schools that Teonna escaped from and tells her that she can stay with him and he will contact her family. As mentioned earlier, Episode 5 begins with Teonna escaping the brutal boarding school, and while she is attempting to flee from her pursuers, she spends the night out in the wilderness. However, the episode ends with several unresolved plot issues and events about which fans are definitely concerned. This leads to a frantic pursuit of Teonna, and she is forced to brave the wilds to evade capture.

At that time, their tug is drifting continuously and is about to hit the dead ship. Elizabeth opens up about the vows she shared with Jack since they were about to have a baby together. While the couple sleeps peacefully for the time being, Spencer suddenly wakes up to the realization that their machine is not working. She conveys her concern about the grief he is feeling that is keeping him distant from thinking about their bond. Meanwhile, Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn) continues with his efforts to destroy the semblance of well-being from the life of Duttons and other ranchers. He shares the vows that he had planned to do during their wedding. Since it would be detrimental to her safety, he offers to take her home with himself safely and then inform her parents. After burying the two nuns, the father sends his men to look for her and to bring her back to him. Due to the same worry, Cara (Helen Mirren) goes to the post office with the hope that Spencer (Brandon Sklener) would have responded to her letters. In the absence of a firm leader, the Duttons are unsure of how to proceed with their decisions. Earlier, we saw that the Dutton family is distraught about the future of Yellowstone ranch due to the sudden attack by the sheepherders. The drama between these ranch dwellers unfolds amidst scenic landscapes that continue to make you fall in love with the natural beauty of the place.
