We simulated St Johnstone vs Celtic as Rangers handed title race ... (Glasgow Live)

Celtic face a trip to St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday, so we simulated the game to get a score prediction ahead of the clash.

FIFA 23 predicts that Celtic could find their trip to McDiarmid Park a difficult one, with their winning streak coming to an end in the simulation. Kyogo and Jota both came close as Celtic dominated the second half, but the Hoops weren't convinving in front of goal, and plenty of chances went begging. Clark met the cross with a powerful header, and his effort flew past Joe Hart as the hosts stole a point late on. The hosts looked most likely to score in the opening 15 minutes, but pressure was lifted off Celtic shoulders just before the break when Kyogo sent the Hoops ahead. The most recent clash saw Celtic emerge 4-1 winners over the Saints on Christmas Eve, with Reo Hatate and Kyogo both bagging a brace [Ange Postecoglou's](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/all-about/ange-postecoglou) side are on a relentless run of form at the moment, with the victory over Livingston their sixth consecutive win with a clean sheet.

Detailed Celtic player ratings as Aaron Mooy stars vs St Johnstone (The Celtic Way)

Joe Hart: The Celtic number one let people into the secret of his recent shut-out success before the visit to Perth when he said: "We work hard as a team ...

Kyogo Furuhashi: Goalscorer extraordinaire played a great part in the build-up to the opener when he found compatriot Maeda with a cracking diagonal and then continued on his run to receive the ball from Aaron Mooy before firing across the face of goal which was turned in by the luckless Andrew Considine. Aaron Mooy: He was restored to the side in place of Matt O'Riley and threaded a neat pass into Daizen Maeda's path that led to the first goal. It didn't quite seem to come off for him on the day and it was not one for the personal Hatate scrapbook. He was always available to give and receive a pass even under pressure on a rutted and bobbly surface that was not conducive to playing free-flowing football. Cameron Carter-Vickers: He was coolness and calmness personified apart from immediately after the restart when he uncharacteristically sliced a clearance behind his own goal for a corner. [Celtic](https://www.celticway.co.uk/) number one let people into the secret of his recent shut-out success before the visit to Perth when he said: "We work hard as a team and I think that is pretty evident with our counter-press when we get the ball as far away from our goal as possible and we stay alert when that isn't possible."

'No ceiling' for Celtic after win at St Johnstone (BBC News)

Celtic "won't put a ceiling on what they can achieve" after restoring their nine-point Scottish Premiership lead with a routine win at St Johnstone.

Matt O'Riley (Celtic) left footed shot from outside the box is blocked. Attempt blocked. Jota (Celtic) left footed shot from the left side of the box is blocked. David Turnbull (Celtic) right footed shot from outside the box to the bottom left corner. - Away4 "We scored a couple of good goals, some great movement. Kyogo dropped deep again, released Jota into a dangerous area and Mooy reminded everyone of the fine form he is in with a delicate, composed lob over Remi Matthews. The expected canter to victory was soon interrupted, though. His cross found Kyogo and, guess what, he finished emphatically for his 22nd goal of the season. Maeda interacted with Mooy, whose pass in behind was exquisite. Kyogo has been prolific in delivering goals, many of them being the finishing touch. Yet it was Callum Davidson's side that opened up the brighter with good organisation and intent.
