CUSTOMERS of AIB have been left frustrated after the bank's mobile banking app failed this morning.
Another customer posted: “I was buying tickets to see Madonna and the useless AIB app won’t work, so now I lost the tickets. Said I need to re-register my device and when I try do so the page fails to load every time. One customer posted on Twitter: “AIB, is there a problem with the AIB mobile banking app?
We are working to resolve these issues as soon as possible,” AIB said in a statement.

Deposits of up to €100,000 are now protected by the Lithuanian bank guarantee scheme. And another frustrated user said: "That's a terribly unstable app you have. Very amateurish." One claimed the app was down for "hours" and another said "ridiculous". The bank said: "We were experiencing intermittent technical issues with our Mobile Banking app this morning, this issue is now resolved".
Some customers were unable to make payments or receive push notifications through the app due to the outage.
A fourth added: "Is there a problem with the aib mobile banking app? One person said: "I was buying tickets to see Madonna and the useless AIB app won't work so now I lost the tickets. A third asked: "@AIBIreland any idea when app and Internet banking will be back up and running....loosing the will to live here." The AIB spokesperson said: "The issue that impacted some of our customers this morning has been resolved. However, a spokesperson for AIB confirmed to the Irish Mirror that the technical issues that affected 'some customers' has since been resolved. The AIB mobile banking app and Internet Banking were down for a number of hours leaving some customers unable to make payments, buy tickets, or receive push notifications through the app.
