10 Fights Boxing Fans Would Like To See in 2023 (BoxingScene.com)

1. Terence Crawford-Errol Spence: · 2. Artur Beterbiev-Dmitry Bivol: · 3. Gennady Golovkin-Jaime Munguia: · 4. Jermall Charlo-Demetrius Andrade: · 5. Emmanuel ...

Estrada, the WBA world titleholder at 105 pounds, has a unification fight against WBC titleholder Tina Rupprecht on March 25 in Fresno. Serrano is rumored to face undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor later this year in a rematch of their epic fight on April 30. A fight between Lopez and contender Arnold Barboza could also be in play as Barboza is also promoted by Top Rank. The IBF world titleholder is Sivenathi Nothshinga, who won the title in his last bout on September 3. And every year, it is written in the hopes it is the last time this fight tops the list. This fight was scheduled to take place on February 3 in Glendale, Arizona, but Valdez had to withdraw from the fight due to an injury during training camp. Munguia might have a fight lined up in a few months against Shane Mosley, per rumors, but there is no reason why Munguia would not face Golovkin, who is still the unified middleweight titleholder after losing to Alvarez on September 17. Munguia was offered a fight against Golovkin, but the Nevada Athletic Commission did not approve of the fight. A fight between either Lopez and Ramirez against newly-crowned WBC world junior welterweight titleholder Regis Prograis is not happening anytime soon, due to promotional and network ties. This fight had been in the works since the spring of 2018. The winner of this all-Russia matchup would be the undisputed champion at 175 pounds. Fans are optimistic fights between the best fighters in the division can take place, despite network deals and ties to promoters.

By Kieran O'Sullivan: At some point in life, we all get an opportunity to look in the mirror and say, 'I could have been a contender.

All the bruises and scars of the workaday world. The metaphorical beatings. And the kid had talent. Look in the mirror. Did he allow Jr’s natural talent to outgrow sound foundations, to disengage from the basic maths of boxing? The great fighters are great learners; they have the humility to humble themselves at the sport’s bloody alter. Perhaps Jr’s father, the great Eubank Sr, perhaps he has to take some blame for this. Heartbreak, loss, the one that got away. The basic maths? By Kieran O’Sullivan: At some point in life, we all get an opportunity to look in the mirror and say, ‘I could have been a contender.’ If you haven’t already, try it. He liked Eubank’s cold and steely resolve. What does he see staring back at him?
