Charges dropped against Kerry man Sean Binder in Greece (The Kerryman)

People smuggling and spying charges against Kerry aid worker Sean Binder have been dropped in Greece today, January 13.

Seán, who attended Gaelcholaiste Chiarraí, was arrested in Lesbos in 2018 while volunteering for NGO Emergency Response Centre International. However, they could still be re-entered but this is unlikely given the statute of limitations meaning that the majority of charges against the Kerry man are unlikely to go to trial. The trial was due to take place in Greece today but the Judge has now recommended that the majority of charges to be annulled.
