Pep Guardiola and Graham Potter go head-to-head in the FA Cup having met in the Premier League just days ago.

Wes Fofana is another doubt but Carney Chukwuemeka could come into the team. Pep Guardiola is likely to rotate from his last league lineup so the likes of Rico Lewis, Cole Palmer and Stefan Ortega should start, as well as World Cup winner Julian Alvarez. Chelsea have been runners-up the three seasons since then and lost on penalties to Liverpool last May.

Manchester City vs Chelsea score predicted by simulation ahead of ... (Football.London)

Chelsea visit Manchester City in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, so we simulated the clash to try and predict the outcome.

FIFA 23 predicts that despite Chelsea's best-attacking efforts, City's forward line could prove too much for the Blues to handle, with Potter's side falling to a 4-2 defeat in the simulation. The game was then taken out of reach from Chelsea in the 86th minute, with Ilkay Gundogan providing the finish. As the game went on, City started to grasp control, and the hosts managed to score twice in the final 15 minutes to make it 4-2 and secure FA Cup victory. But, the lead didn't last long for the Blues, with Julian Alvarez scoring a quickfire double seven minutes after the goal to flip the game on its head and send City into the break 2-1 up. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang jinxed past Kyle Walker on the left before crossing into the box, and Hutchinson met the cross with a powerful volley that was saved by the knees of Stefan Ortega. The Blues were beaten on penalties in the FA Cup final last season, and Potter will be hoping his side can reach the final once again this season.

It must be so humiliating for good players to have to dot the Is and cross the Ts on a heavy defeat that was confirmed before half-time. “I doubt he’d do it for a crucial match, as he’d be slaughtered, but he must be thinking about it.” “1- If they wanted to draw more readers in making me an Everton fan makes no sense, they would be trying to whip up enthusiasm, not depression. — Potter's injury problems suffered a fresh hit during the midweek defeat to City, with attackers Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic each limping out of the action early on. Cup goalkeeper Stefan Ortega replaced Ederson after impressing in the League Cup tie between the sides, which was the last time Spanish left-back Sergio Gomez got a start. City are trying to make it two wins in a row against the London side. 1 hr 40 mins from kickoff: City and Chelsea reconvene three days on from Riyad Mahrez scoring the only goal in the Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge. I want to send my condolences to Gianluca Vialli's family and friends. Mount has played 31 minutes in total across those matches, having been unable to start any of them. Julian Alvarez makes his first City start since his World Cup heroics, alongside midweek matchwinner Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden in attack. On the left of defence, Lewis Hall gets another start having impressed on this ground in November and also during a substitute cameo against City on Thursday. The England attacking midfielder would certainly be a welcome sight for Blues fans. Graham Potter has made six changes from midweek and some of those suggest the Premier League remains his priority despite the Blues languishing in mid-table. There's a debut for teenage defender Bashir Humphreys.
