And the wet hands that we were shaking, we couldn’t understand why their hands were wet, but it was all the tears that they were wiping away.” In the excerpt, Harry is quoted as saying he rode past the Ritz where his mother had dinner that fateful night, and then through the tunnel, along the Seine River at the Pont de l’Alma bridge, where the car carrying Diana crashed in August 1997. Palace Insiders Say Prince William Is Already Furious About Prince ... (Vanity Fair)

Prince Harry alleges Prince William attacked him over Meghan Markle in a new excerpt from Spare, his bombshell memoir due out next week.

According to sources close to William, he is furious that Harry has leaked details of their private conversations and the damage that Harry is causing the royal family. While Harry and Meghan were invited to join the royal family for Christmas at Sandringham, William was said to be particularly concerned about the possibility of the couple joining the family for the holiday. It is understood Charles took his sons for a walk around the castle grounds after the service and tried to act as a peacemaker, however, little headway was made and William and Kate were seen leaving shortly afterwards while Harry stayed to spend time with his royal cousins. During the incident, William is said to have called Meghan “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive” while Harry accused his brother of “parroting the press narrative” about his wife. Harry started writing the book while the Queen was alive, however the release was delayed so that details of the Queen’s funeral could be included in an updated chapter. But according to Harry, things turned physical when William allegedly grabbed Harry by the collar, breaking his necklace and throwing him to the floor.

Royal rift: Be under no illusion, Prince William will be livid and there ... (Sky News)

Sky's Rhiannon Mills questions whether the two princes can ever rebuild trust when one wants to share their rifts very publicly with the world.

I asked where Harry would fit in when William one day became king. But what continues to surprise me is how far Harry has decided to go. Kensington Palace aren't commenting but be under no illusion William will, I suspect, be livid. Time may be a healer, but it's hard to know how the two brothers come back from this, how trust can be rebuilt when one wants to very publicly share that rift with the world. While he wanted to carve out his own role he was happy in the future to support his brother and do the things William would no longer be able to do as king. I understand this is part of his crusade to get his side across, to take on the media, but when it comes to his relationships with his family you can't help but think there must be a better way.
