Liverpool have opened talks with PSV Eindhoven as they look to beat Manchester United to the signing of Cody Gakpo, 90min understands.

As 90min reported, sources confirmed Liverpool were close to hijacking that deal after the Reds' 3-1 win over Aston Villa.
