The Leopardstown Racecourse is owned by Horse Racing Ireland (HRI), which is among a number of state agencies whose land will be targeted by the LDA.

HRI is involved in a constructive engagement in this regard with the LDA. A spokesperson for Mr McConalogue said: “The LDA is involved in effort to identify state owned lands across the spectrum of state agencies and government departments. A number of government sources said Fine Gael ministers Peter Burke and Martin Heydon sought assurances there would be proper engagement between the LDA, HRI and Mr McConalogue about Leopardstown.
