Oti Mabuse has praised Strictly Come Dancing pro Jowita Przystal for making history after winning this year's series with Hamza Yassin.

Jowita, 28, may be the first female pro to break the record but she is the fifth professional overall to have won in their first year, following on from Brendon Cole in series 1, Darren Bennett in series 2, Artem Chigvintsev in series 8 and Aljaz Skoranjec in series 11. It means Jowita, who is new to Strictly and joined the show with this series, has become the first female professional dancer in her first year to win.
