Scores: 9, 10,10,10 – a total of 39 for Helen and Gorka. Motsi thought Fleur smashed it – she’s replaced Danny Mac and is now the queen of Samba. Craig is furious because he couldn’t find anything wrong with Fleur’s Samba, and the crowd goes wild. Craig thought it was a bit rocky and underwhelming and it did go a little bit wrong, but it was classy and classic. First recap of the night! They join Molly Rainford and Fleur East in battling it out for that famous glitterball trophy.
A score of 39 (up from 34). A perfect score of 40 (up from 39). The only negative was East’s ghastly Christmas tree decoration frock, otherwise this was a sizzling sensation. Mabuse dared to compare it with Danny Mac’s all-time-great samba (danced with her sister Oti!). Du Beke (channelling Len Goodman even more than usual) said it was “as smooth as a Werther’s Original”. Neither has landed in the dance-off throughout the entire series, indicating massive audience support, and both are repeating much-loved routines (including Yassin’s [salsa](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/0/strictly-come-dancing-2022-week-four-live-fleur-east-does-series/) and Skelton’s Fosse-styled [Couple’s Choice](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/0/strictly-come-dancing-2022-musicals-week-helen-skelton-does/)) in this final. Craig Revel Horwood wanted more control in Yassin’s free arm (boo) but it was smooth as silk. But most importantly, and even more so in this fab-u-lous encore, through all the twisting armography, side-by-side sections, and of course those mega lifts, the performance was utterly seamless. A score of 39 (again). It does seem a shame to sideline ballroom to this degree – let’s just hope we get the odd glimmer in the showdances amidst those lifts and tricks. Those three dances are the judges’ pick of a previous routine, the couple’s favourite number, and the all-important showdance. But remember: the scores are just for guidance; it's all down to viewer votes tonight.

Molly and Carlos went for their rumba as their final routine, with Anton saying "this improved" saying she had a maturity that she was able to bring to the dance that gave it "another level". Motsi could barely get a word out as the audience continued to erupt into applause and Shirley described it as "everything we need in a final dance". Molly then upped the ante for her Prince-inspired showdance, bringing all kinds of saucy as Anton praised her "attitude" and for going down a different route. The first time they danced the routine, Hamza and Jowita just missed out on a perfect score, but this time they managed to impress all the judges. The pair's first dance was their leaderboard-topping quickstep, which originally scored 34. Craig, who has judged every single showdance in Strictly history called the routine "great" despite some errors. Hamza and Jowita chose their afrobeats-inspired Couple's Choice as their final routine, and it proved to be a crowd-pleaser all over again. Their scores ended up the same, however, with Craig highlighting how Hamza could have controlled his "free arm". Their first dance of the final was their salsa, which was first danced in the fourth week, nearly getting a perfect mark. The singer is paired with Italian professional Vito Coppola, for his first-ever series of Strictly, and they've had a rocky ride, landing in the bottom two on four occasions. Plenty of tens were dished out, and even the notoriously grumpy Craig had nice things to say to the finalists. Hamza has been dubbed as "Mr.

She and Coppola are the second to do so for a samba in the history of Strictly as they danced to Hot Hot Hot by Arrow as her judges’ pick.
