But most importantly, and even more so in this fab-u-lous encore, through all the twisting armography, side-by-side sections, and of course those mega lifts, the performance was utterly seamless. A score of 39 (again). It does seem a shame to sideline ballroom to this degree – let’s just hope we get the odd glimmer in the showdances amidst those lifts and tricks. Those three dances are the judges’ pick of a previous routine, the couple’s favourite number, and the all-important showdance. But remember: the scores are just for guidance; it's all down to viewer votes tonight.
