RTE stars Maura Derrane and Daithi O Se were left cringing and fans were "mortified" after a viewer's live blunder.A caller made a hilarious mistake.

Daithi cried out: "Aw Veronica! One viewer posted the hilarious clip on Twitter and said: "Amazing television!" Maura said: "Nooo." Today fans were all in stitches at the "mortifying" encounter. RTE Today viewers were left in hysterics after a live quiz blunder left hosts Maura Derrane and Daithi O Se stunned.

Maura and Daithi could be seen putting their hands up to their faces as they tried their best to continue asking the caller questions. Caught up by the pressure of live TV, poor Veronica answered the wrong answer of 'USA' after having the answer told to her. In a bid to help to help Veronica win a prize, Maura and Daithi tried to prompt her by saying 'Italia 90' aloud before reading the question again.
