Whilst they were once open to loaning out the player previously if the finances were right, his appearances on the world stage have reportedly moved them into a position where they will only deal if a club makes an offer than now forces ‘their hand’. The 26 year old Netherlands born, but nominated Moroccan international, is closing in on 50 international caps for his country, and he is one of the players who has seriously impressed at the 2022 world stage tournament. With the first ever winter World Cup out in Qatar motoring through the knockout stage games, whilst the Italian national side were unfortunately not there again, the requirement for a pause in all European domestic schedules has obviously effected Serie A.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte remains a fan of Morocco international Sofyan Amrabat, as per Spanish outlet Relevo (h/t Liverpool Echo).

Amrabat isn’t a player that will offer a lot when attacking but he specialises in breaking up play and shielding the defence – an asset for any team to have. Manager Antonio Conte likes to play in a 3-4-2-1. But Amrabat will provide much-needed competition in that area. Amrabat’s defensive strengths can allow the attackers in our to be adventurous and do the damage up front – a role similar to that of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. We can use a strong defensive midfielder who can be a solid presence in our double pivot. The defensive midfielder has been a big reason why Morocco have conceded just one goal in the entirety of the tournament in Qatar, despite facing European giants Spain, Portugal, and Belgium.
