All the essential matchday information ahead of our game against the Dutch side at Emirates Stadium.

0 3 Our most recent meetings came in 2006/07 when we were drawn together in the round of 16. However, only in 2020/21 have we won four in a row, when we went on to win all six. 4 "The opponent is completely separate from those matches [between us and his Manchester United side] from 20 years ago. I think what Ruud has done with his team, the way they play, you just see the amount of goals they are scoring in their domestic league, the way they are performing in the Europa League as well, they are a really dangerous team." 2 1 That saw them drop into the Europa League, and after drawing 1-1 at home to Bodo/Glimt, they thumped Zurich 5-1 in Switzerland before recording a 5-0 win in Eindhoven last week. He has guided his side to second in the Eredivisie table with eight wins from their opening 10 games, one point behind Ajax. They have appeared in Europe in every season since 1975/76, meaning this will be their 49th straight campaign doing so.

Arsenal vs PSV start time, streaming and live score tracker: Match ... (The Athletic)

We have a stand-alone European fixture today, as Arsenal host PSV in a match that was rescheduled following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last month.

The Gunners entered the match on a historic 49-game unbeaten run in the league, but United won the match 2-0 as Van Nistelrooy scored the opening goal from the penalty spot, atoning for his miss the year prior. After the match, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger accused Van Nistelrooy of cheating to get Patrick Vieira sent off. At the "Battle of Old Trafford" on September 21, 2003, Van Nistelrooy missed a 94th-minute penalty that would have won the game for United. A subsequent video assistant referee review showed that Gabriel had been fouled by Bamford before the incident took place. Xhaka fires Arsenal to victory over PSV to seal Europa League ... (The Guardian)

Granit Xhaka fired Arsenal to a 1-0 home win over PSV Eindhoven to secure qualification from their Europa League group.

The substitute Noni Madueke, a Spurs academy product, looked bright in their quest for an equaliser but in truth Arsenal should have run away with it. Saka, in particular, was outstanding and would have opened the scoring had the busy Walter Benítez not saved with a foot. The players that score 50 goals do not play 38 games in a season, it’s just impossible.” He was the best player on the pitch but Arsenal could surely have got by without him here; Arteta, however, would have none of it. “His work rate all the time to learn is fantastic and now it’s paying off.” Granit Xhaka’s transformation from pariah to poster boy has been one of the stories of this year for Arsenal and he continues to write new chapters.

Gunners sink PSV to reach Europa knockout stages (RTE.ie)

Granit Xhaka scored the only goal of the game as Arsenal beat PSV Eindhoven to secure qualification into the latter stages of the Europa League.

Here though, his side were second best throughout but the hosts could not find a breakthrough in a frustrating first-half, Gabriel Jesus dragging a shot wide and Fabio Vieira coming close with a free-kick as Bukayo Saka was once again the standout performer for Arteta’s side. Arsenal want to return to the Champions League and their strong start to the Premier League campaign means they have a good chance of doing so – but for much of the game they lacked the ruthlessness in front of goal their women's team showed in beating defending Women’s Champions League holders Lyon 5-1 less than 24 hours earlier.
