If we follow the rules, follow the principles, we have a chance to win this game. [Alf-Inge Haaland was flipped upside down by Roy Keane](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nGkafx3-Ks) in the Manchester derby, his son Erling has a chance to put the hurt on United. 15 min Fernandes’s crossfield pass is missed by Walker and reaches Sancho on the left of the area. They want to dictate the game and they are good at that, but we want to bring them out of their comfort zone. De Gea didn’t move and the ball pinged off the outside of the right-hand post. Grealish plays in the underlapping Bernardo Silva, who holds off Dalot near the byline and cuts the ball back towards the penalty spot. He slaloms into the area and is well tackled by Martinez. City keep playing until De Bruyne hits a dipping long-range shot that brushes the top of the crossbar. De Bruyne curled the corner towards the six-yard line, where Haaland got above McTominay and powered a header past de Gea. Foden’s long-range shot hits Varane, who stays down, and runs to Grealish on the left of the area. He slid a wonderful, De Bruynish low cross towards the far post, where Foden got the wrong side of Malacia and rammed the ball gleefully past de Gea. Haaland slid onto it, watched the bounce carefully and studded the ball past de Gea.

Preview: Manchester City v Manchester United (Aljazeera.com)

The season's first Manchester derby is set to take place at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

He has yet to find his feet at City following his move from Aston Villa and his spot in the England team is under threat. The pressure, however, is on Pep Guardiola. Interestingly, it was their first win over the Reds at the Etihad since 2018. In the last 10 league meetings, City narrowly held the edge with five wins compared with United’s four. The wholesale changes Ten Hag has made to the Manchester United backline are evidenced by the fact that none of the four who started in their last visit to the Etihad are expected to make it to the playing-XI this time. The season’s first Manchester derby is set to take place at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Man City v Man United: Player ratings as City hammer United 6-3 (SportsJOE.ie)

Manchester City hammered Manchester United 6-3 on Sunday in the Manchester derby, blitzing their cross-city rivals in an incredible display.

De Bruyne carried the ball forward, through United's midfield, and passed the ball out wide to Haaland. Haaland, in just his eighth game in the division, had recorded his third Premier League hat-trick. Man City created an overload on the left wing, where Canelo played a pass for Bernardo Silva on the overlap. The Premier League champion scored their third goal of the match after 37 minutes when Kevin de Bruyne and Haaland linked up again. Man United lost the ball outside of City's penalty area and the home side broke away to score on the counter-attack. Haaland stretched and finished it past De Gea, using his studs to make contact with the ball. Meanwhile, Raphael Varane injured his ankle blocking a shot, and from the resulting corner, City doubled their lead. Anthony Martial scored twice in the final minutes of the match to make the scoreline more respectable for United. Man City, however, were forced to make several changes.
