Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits his side are under pressure and lacking confidence after they threw away victory in a 3-3 draw at home to Brighton.
"We had the possibility to score more. "If we are 100% honest, it is not the first time. We played a very good game," he said. "It reminded me of that a bit today. I know it is my first game in the Premier League but I know Anfield, I know the difficulties in this stadium." Asked if the lack of confidence was a concern, Klopp said: "Concerning I am not sure is the right word but we can't ignore the fact.

Trossard becomes only the third opposition player to score a treble at Anfield in the Premier League.
Only a month ago his side was conceding four to Napoli in a shambolic performance. He was then at an immediate disadvantage trying to get across to Pervis Estupinan, with the ball quickly transferred to Welbeck and Solly March for Trossard to fire home his second from a similar position to his first. But lessons were not learned and Alexander-Arnold was again involved in the concession of a second goal when, after controlling a cross-field pass on his chest, he was robbed by Welbeck.
LIVERPOOL manager Jurgen Klopp refused to cover up his side's defensive flaws after a chaotic 3-3 draw against Brighton at Anfield.
There was a possibility to win the game but Liverpool is a fantastic team. Our target is to start to control much more of the game.” We have to go together and build.” I don’t know how many times I have to say we need a reaction. “With all the good things we did during the week the confidence is a little flower and when someone stamps on it, it is really difficult. They were flying and we were somewhere in between.
The Reds produced a fightback to lead the game late on at Anfield in the wake of Leandro Trossard's first-half double. Roberto Firmino twice found the back of ...
But we just have to be better, start better and show our quality. He's brilliant, a brilliant connecting player and now he scores even more. Of course. There are a lot of games and a lot of points to win, and we have to use the time and get back on track again. The second half was an improvement, but our expectations are higher than this. We didn't come through and they made our life quite hard.

We want to do better, we want to have more points, we want to be in a different area in the table - that's all clear and then you are 2-0 down against a really good opponent. Then you saw the difference in the game, it was not then that they had one chance after another. We have to improve, that only happens if we perform, we have to perform more consistently. It is not rocket science but it happens, you realise it, you sort it because we have a lot of solutions meanwhile, but before we were in the solution mood we were already 2-0 down. How it always is, I know 100 per cent everybody expects for me now, two or three things that I say, everybody feels: 'OK, if we do that then it is done.' But how it always is in difficult moments in life and in football, you have to fight through. So, it is a moment and we have to really keep going through together. Again, that's the same job that you have when you are winning all the time, [it's] just more difficult because you have to create a situation where the boys react and make it easier for the boys to do that. Maybe the amount of situations we saw was a bit different, where the ball was kicked high and different situations, but that's a sign for something - and the sign is that the confidence level is now not extraordinarily high. For that you need stability and consistency and you get that with top defending and obviously we didn't defend top in the beginning and then not even during the game [because] there were other situations and they were really dangerous. We could have taken a lot of things into the next game – unfortunately we didn't play. Then, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2 and then you see again - if you have watched football games for long enough here, we had these kind of situations years ago when we were only one goal up and then it happened quite frequently that everybody got nearly a heart attack because we were just not convincing in these moments where we get a counter-attack and be compact and these kind of things. They scored, 3-3, and that feels again like a defeat even when it is not a defeat.
Jürgen Klopp conceded Liverpool were suffering a crisis of confidence after dropping points for the fifth time in seven Premier League games with a 3-3 draw ...
When I say he can do even better it is not because I am not happy about his game but because I consider him a great player.” “He played a great game but I believe he can do even better. “We had confident moments – Bobby for the second goal – but the passing game was not good. We want to do much better, have more points, improve in the table and then we are 2-0 down against a really good opponent. You get that with top defending, and we didn’t have that. It was the first by a visiting player at Anfield in 13 years.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp clearly does not have enough faith in Darwin Nunez given his late appearance against Brighton, one pundit believes.
It will be in the back of the manager’s mind and it will take some time for him to get the trust of Klopp. “It says a lot that Nunez did not come on until the final minute,” the pundit told Football Insider. Like Whelan, the former Aston Villa man criticised Klopp’s team selection. “Nunez is still finding his way in English football and that red card and suspension really set him back. While they struggled to get over the line in their 2-1 victory, a third win in eight games showed progress. However, Trossard was not finished and netted his hat-trick to salvage Brighton a well-deserved point.

"There is no doubt who the worst signing of the season has been in Serie A: Divock Origi," Cagnazzo's report read. Divock Origi, who joined AC Milan on a free transfer in the summer, has failed to live up to expectations following his switch to the San Siro. The Belgium international has made just four appearances and is yet to score his first goal. "Rather than catching the eye, the striker's first months in Italy have been plagued by bad luck and injuries, which limited his opportunities on Merseyside until his contract expired. He continued, admitting his poor form has been something of a mystery: "It’s paradoxical because he’s the oldest player on the list (of arrivals). "We’re working to give him back that relaxation that is currently lacking from his game. "Takumi Minamino is [the signing] that has had the most difficulty integrating for the time being. "He needs to acclimatise physically and mentally. There is no doubt as to his abilities." He needs rhythm. During his time at Anfield, Minamino scored some important goals including the equaliser in the Carabao Cup quarter-final last season.
Liverpool should be hugely concerned by their recent performances, according to talkSPORT host Tony Cascarino. It's been a slow start to the season for.
They are off the pace, they are not getting close to their opposition.
