Ange Postecoglou has been Down Under but is looking to for another three points to help keep the Hoops at the top in their quest to retain the title.
Kyogo looks to redeem the previous miss with a lovely run into the box. Although they will have to cope without captain Callum McGregor in their next league clash as he was shown red late on against the Steelmen for a last man challenge. There was also a late red card for [Callum McGregor](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/all-about/callum-mcgregor) for a dubious last man professional foul. I think the way the game played out, we could have done that. But Postecoglou reckons his side were still well worth the win, having only been pegged back after Kyogo's opener by Josip Juranovic chesting the ball beyond Joe Hart and into his own net. Sead Haksabanovic replaces Kyogo for Celtic. Matt O'Riley whips the ball into the box as it flicks off the head of a Motherwell defender to give the hosts a corner. It's a game we could have got something out of. Celtic look for a penalty as Kyogo collides in the box but the referee doesn't entertain the shouts. Celtic had some chances but we did also. However up stepped Reo Hatate who’s thunderous second half strike ensured his side remain at the Scottish Premiership summit. Celtic are put through a spell of late pressure as Motherwell get bodies into the box but it turns into a game of head tennis before the referee blows for a foul.

You’d imagine then that the manager would play is preferred three of Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley. However, Ange Postecoglou will be hoping his Scottish Champions can bounce back in emphatic fashion. Joe Hart will start in goals.
Today's a big match for Celtic vs Motherwell and this is the team we think Ange Postecoglou will pick.
In attack, Jota should return to the starting line-up, with Daizen Maeda and Liel Abada both available on the opposite flank. Today, injuries are again a concern in certain areas, but the manager should have a strong squad to pick from. They say every Celtic game is a big game and you can understand that when considering this afternoon’s match at home to Motherwell.

Callum McGregor was sent off late on although the Celts professionally held on to see out the win in the closing stages. Here's how each of the Bhoys rated.
[Maeda](https://celtsarehere.com/daizen-maeda-glasgow-celtic/) cut it back for him. [Hatate](https://celtsarehere.com/reo-hatate-glasgow-celtic/) scored his first competitive Celtic goal since April with a thunderous strike from outside the box which was destined for the far corner. [Taylor](https://celtsarehere.com/greg-taylor-glasgow-celtic/) also stood firm in his defending. The Israeli caught the eye after coming on, getting in behind the visitors’ defence on quite a few occasions and missing what was frankly a sitter in stoppage time. The midfielder was inadequate in his passing and looked generally slow in his play. [Taylor](https://celtsarehere.com/greg-taylor-glasgow-celtic/) was solid again today. [Juranovic](https://celtsarehere.com/josip-juranovic-glasgow-celtic/) as he netted an own goal and misplaced some passes however in the second half, the Croatian was composed on a number of occasions inside his own box to help stem any Motherwell attacking threats. The Japanese had a few chances along with this in the second 45, heading wide from inside the goal area and just missing out on dragging it past Liam Kelly to the backdrop of an empty net. In the second, the Japanese slightly fell off and was replaced by Liel Abada 65 minutes in. At least on first glance, his sending off on 89 minutes seemed to be undue as Stephen Welsh was on the cover. He held on to a few long range efforts from the visitors and commanded his area well, coming to collect numerous crosses in the second half. Today, the 22 year old appeared to be hesitant on the ball with the physicality of Kevin van Veen causing him problems.

A couple of nice passes before fading out the game and hooked after the hour mark. Jota - 6 Still had time to make runs down the left but was beaten a couple of times on his flank. Daizen Maeda - 6 Dictated the midfield until then. Matt O'Riley - 6 Then the own goal, a moment that probably won't happen again in his career. Greg Taylor - 6 [Ange Postecoglou](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/all-about/ange-posteccoglou) watched his side appear to deal with set-piece situations unconvincingly and 'Well missed a couple opportunities to test Hart. Reo Hatate made sure his side got a winner with a low drive into the bottom corner from outside the box as they return to the Premiership's summit, but [Callum McGregor](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/all-about/callum-mcgregor) sacrificed himself by getting sent off as Ross Tierney broke through on goal. Moritz Jenz - 6 Stephen Welsh - 6
ROXIE – 6.5/10 – Big Joe and the comedy pinball routine with their strikers certainly livened up the second half after having a joke played on him just ...
ANITA DOBSON – 7/10 – The beauty and frailty of Angeball. But a majority fell off their game and the blow of a self-destructive strike caused lag and a brief loss of belief. MR.KOBAYASHI – 6/10 – A thief in the night. So the boss gets credit for his picks, his eye for a player. ABADASS – 6.5/10 – Spiced up our right and had them chasing shadows when he appeared at pace and didn’t let up. NOTEBOOK – 6/10 – Since eviscerating The Abominables, he’s failed to conjour up any hits. After the break, they tightened up his side and we fell off in intensity so Daizen was isolated and starved of the right service. But Reo had other ideas and the skipper thankfully had a last burst of energy to sacrifice himself for the cause. THE BUILDER – 5.5/10 – Young Rogic seemed marginally unable to find his deft touch, almost repeating similar not-quite-there games of recent times. JURAN JURAN – 6/10 – “Hey, Joe, check out my fake boobies, man!” he yelled, as the ball was dropping from on high. He harnessed that sharp awareness with physical wrangling of their burly forwards and really was key to us getting the points. We got the answer from a surprising source – and Jenz was terrific in shifting the ball quickly and accurately to keep Angeball functioning properly.
