The Ireland and Leinster legend retired in 2014 as one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

"I saw the album and I was appalled at what I saw. I went away on holiday and my Mum put together a photo album. He told the Late Late Show: "The first year is great. "And then I kind of caught it, and there was a kind of catalyst for that. "Then I went on to all the parties, all the weddings and all the things you missed out on when you were playing. You are glad to get out relatively unscathed.

Envious that they were still there and that I wasnโ€™t able to do what they were.โ€ โ€œAt no point did I hit a point of feeling depressed, but I felt low and blue and really envious of my teammates. I had seen some teammates really struggle and so I wanted to soften the landing a little bit.

Brian O'Driscoll will feature on Friday's Late Late Show as he appears alongside Richie Sadlier.

O'Driscoll and TV and movie star Huberman tied the knot in 2010 and have three children together. O'Driscoll was also named Six Nations player of the year on three occasions and was shortlisted for Rugby World Player of the Year three times. The Ireland legend eventually hung up the boots in 2014 and won the Guinness Pro12 title in his final game. Brian's dad had previously represented Ireland and O'Driscoll went on to attend Blackrock College where he would go on to compete in the Senior Cup. O'Driscoll was born in Dublin on 21 January, 1979 and grew up in Clontarf. O'Driscoll hung up the boots in 2014 and worked alongside Craig Doyle to produce an upcoming documentary to speak about his retirement.
