The Taoiseach and a number of Ministers will attend the 2022 National (and World) Ploughing Championships from tomorrow in Ratheniska, Co Laois.
In addition, exhibitors are encouraged to take a digital-first approach to reduce the volume of leaflets on site. The marquee will also provide information on policies and programmes aimed at revitalising communities. Over the three days of the Championships the Government of Ireland village, comprising over 125 stands, will showcase a wide range of information and services to visitors. A dedicated ‘Housing for All’ presence will provide services and information to visitors, and ‘Climate Action’ will be a feature across a range of the exhibitors in the Government of Ireland village. Sustainability will be promoted throughout the Government of Ireland village through actions, initiatives, and encouraging all staff to use public transport or carpooling arrangements. Talks at the event will focus on adapting to climate change, enhancing biodiversity, and embracing new business opportunities for rural Ireland in the low carbon economy.
