I do expect Manchester City to dominate, and I’m looking at Manchester City to keep a clean sheet and win by a couple of goals. If Dortmund do have a go at City then there could be a lot of goals. I’m looking at Manchester City (-1) in the alternative handicaps.

Erling Haaland struck a late winner against his former club as Manchester City came from behind to snatch a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund.
When Foden looked for Haaland again, Hummels superbly cut out his cross. There was a bit of pushing and shoving in the closing moments and Guardiola was shown a yellow card for something he said after the final whistle. The momentum was now with City and Haaland had the final word when he leapt high to reach a superb Cancelo cross and volley home. No music was played in the build-up to the game as a mark of respect following the death of the Queen and a period of silence was well observed prior to kick-off. They maintained the pressure and were rewarded after 56 minutes by Bellingham, who timed a run to the near post perfectly to head home from a Reus cross. Jack Grealish was repeatedly frustrated as he attempted to cut in from the left and Kevin De Bruyne was also kept quiet, aside from one moment when he almost sent Haaland clear.

MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 BORUSSIA DORTMUND: Erling Haaland was predictably the man to decide a clash between his new club and his old as Pep Guardiola's men came ...
It might not be as an iconic strike - Kompany's goal going a long way to deciding the Premier League title race - but it will no doubt have triggered some special memories in the eyes of City fans. However, the two showdowns with Dortmund were tight affairs with 2-1 wins for the English side each time. He then produced a fantastic bit of skill to draw a poor challenge from Rodri - the City midfielder receiving a booking. Whilst Haaland will be the recipient of the majority of the headlines, special credit certainly has to go to Jude Bellingham. [Pep Guardiola](https://www.irishmirror.ie/all-about/pep-guardiola) 's current squad, that was always going to happen but it was the circumstances in which it happened will go down in club folklore. However, the Norwegian really struggled to have an impact on the game initally. Man City boss Guardiola has a lengthy history against Borussia Dortmund. However, it is certainly very difficult to draw parallels. He looks more than likely to be the next mega-star to depart the Westfalenstadion after Haaland. That is exactly what happened during the majority of the clash at the Etihad Stadium though. However, John Stones proved to be a late hero as he thundered in a stunning equaliser from range. Haaland's goal might well have been more in his script though.
Jude Bellingham gave Borussia Dortmund a second-half lead at the Etihad but John Stones and Erling Haaland turned the game around in the final 10 minutes as ...
Ozcan beat Haaland to a corner from Giovanni Reyna, son of the former City captain Claudio, and flicked on to Reus lurking unmarked on the far side of the penalty area. Then came the moment Haaland and City had longed for, and Dortmund had feared. The defender, stationed at right back in the absence of Kyle Walker, collected a pass from De Bruyne and opted to try his luck from 20 yards out. It was Dortmund who created the first real chance of note when Jude Bellingham spun away from Gündogan and Rodri in midfield before sending Raphaël Guerreiro rampaging down the left. City created little before the interval with Guardiola a picture of frustration at his players’ frequent failure to prevent Dortmund playing out from the back. Dortmund proved a more awkward assignment for the Premier League champions than last week’s 4-0 stroll in Sevilla, plus a test of patience for Haaland and those anticipating a continuation of the goal-machine’s prolific start in City colours.
Our UEFA Europa League home fixture against PSV Eindhoven has been rescheduled for Thursday 20 October.
“I think some of the reasons why I'm here is from experiences and the different styles of play that I've had to adapt to during my career,” he added. “Even the League Two teams I've played for and in League One, I've taken stuff from there. Coming in each day, you don't know if you're going to have a meeting or not, or what type of thing he is going to do in the meeting. But it was it's nice for the manager and the staff to always be around me last season when things weren't so good. I was getting battered by every person in the media and it's rubbish to hear that. What we do off the pitch, the attitude and the spirit that we're all together is completely different.
