David Clifford

David Clifford is set to embark on a new career after successfully graduating from the University of Limerick.

The Fossa man played a starring role in UL's run to the Sigerson Cup final and was handed the Higher Education Rising Star Footballer of the Year Award. On top of his achievements on the football pitch, the forward has now completed his masters and is set to move into PE teaching. It was the Kingdom's first Sam Maguire since 2014 and Clifford shone by delivering a man of the match performance in the decider against Galway at Croke Park.
