Celtic vs Hearts - LIVE (Scottish Daily Record)

It's the second instalment of Glasgow v Edinburgh in the Scottish Premiership this weekend as the Jambos are the visitors to the home of the champions.

But it was Josh Ginnelly who forced Joe Hart to push the ball out for a corner with an angled drive. But prior to the opener they had been giving a decent account of themselves. Ange Postecoglou also resisted the temptation to put Reo Hatate back into the side and David Turnbull has shown why with another good performance. The teams are separated by just that Kyogo strike but the Hoops are the dominant side. [Scottish Premiership](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/all-about/scottish-premiership) and lay down an early marker in their bid to retain the league title as Hearts visit the east end of Glasgow. They will be in the hat for a European draw regardless on Friday - Europa League or Conference League - while Celtic find out their [Champions League](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/all-about/champions-league) group opponents 24 hours earlier. But the Hearts man makes a recovery to prevent the pressure. However, considering the changes Hearts have made then they can be fairly pleased at how it's gone and the longer the scoreline stays like that the more they could have a go for that leveller. Jota takes the ball on the edge of the box but a sliding challenge from Haring stops the winger in his tracks. But his strike doesn't challenge Stewart in the Hearts goal and the keeper collects it easily. Moritz Jenz has made a great start to his Parkhead career with a couple of goals but he's a rock at the back and is putting in another strong display. Jenz headers the ball into the back of the net but the flag is up for offside.

CELTIC are in front against Hearts at Celtic Park as they look to move to the top of the Premiership table. The Hoops face the Jambos in Glasgow's east.

He wins a corner there after driving through the centre and releasing Ginnelly who plays it off Greg Taylor for the corner kick. It's a substitution here for the Hoops as they look to inject a bit of energy in the game. Hearts look lively here at the start of the second half! Kyogo is in again with a promising position in behind the Hearts defence, but he's offside. He's been at the centre of everything for the visitors. Meanwhile a depleted Hearts side did well in spells to disrupt the champions' flow in the game. Josh Ginnelly, Liam Boyce and Alan Forrest all threatened to shock the Hoops but in the end the result was a fair reflection of the competition. A fiery end to the game! Neilson might have felt Hearts were still in the game when they saw two men (deservedly) sent off. So far this season, Celtic have also not put a foot wrong in defence. So, although Robbie Neilson might have been looking to change the narrative of this game and suggest that the referee had his part to play in the result, it was all down to the work of Ange Postecoglou’s side across the field, who put in a solid defensive performance which gave the Edinburgh side no chance on Sunday afternoon.
