Hunt was born on May 4, 1950 in Hampshire. Before joining 'The Pogues' as a bassist in 1986, he played for the pub rock band Plummet Airlines and the The band posted a monochrome picture of Hunt holding a guitar case and captioned it by quoting lyrics from the song “Love You ’Till The End,” written by the late bassist. The band added that it was “saddened beyond words.” The cause of Hunt’s death remains unknown.
