Musician Andy Irvine 'absolutely overjoyed' his bespoke musical instruments were found at Copenhagen Airport.

The specially built guitar-bouzouki and a mandola have accompanied Irvine many times around the world. Irvine, who turned 80 last month, flew to the Skagen Folk Festival in Denmark on June 29th. Clearly the golf clubs have arrived in Greensboro as he tweeted a triumphant photograph on Wednesday morning with his Srixon club bag above his head.

Two weeks ago Leona Maguire was in a similar predicament when her clubs were lost on a journey from Dublin to Geneva. They were subsequently transported to Greensboro, North Carolina, with the Offaly man posting a triumphant picture of himself hoisting the clubs aloft. On Tuesday the Offaly man appealed to Dublin Airport to help find his clubs and was told they were at O'Hare Airport in Chicago.

Dublin Airport were unable to find the bag and mentioned that the Airline in question would have to solve it. Last month Maguire intended to fly to Geneva from Dublin but had to do so without her clubs after her apparatus went missing before the tournament. Lowry is not the only Irish golfer to lose his clubs after Leona Maguire ran into problems last month.

Irish golfer Shane Lowry said he is “back in business” after he was reunited with his golf clubs today following an air travel mix-up.

But within an hour of the post appearing, a Twitter user replied that his sister, who is believed to work at Dublin Airport, had found the missing bag. The Offaly native is the latest golfer to have his clubs go missing at Dublin Airport. “Update…Thanks to the lads at @DublinAirport who confirmed my bags are in Chicago. @AerLingus @fly2ohare @united can you help get them to me in Greensboro?” he said.
