It's the Royals against the Kingdom as Meath and Kerry face off in the Ladies' All-Ireland senior football final at Croke Park.
"They've shown that dominance and that's something that we want to show as well and winning another All-Ireland or getting back to an All-Ireland final will definitely solidify that as well." It's the Royals against the Kingdom as Meath and Kerry face off in the Ladies' All-Ireland senior football final at Croke Park. Their journey to the All-Ireland final in 2021 was memorable and they ultimately embraced the underdog tag to oust Dublin and claim the senior title for themselves.
Defending champions Meath and Kerry meet in the TG4 All-Ireland Football Championship final at Croke Park.
Meath make a change with Kelsey Nesbitt off and Bridgetta Lynch on. Just as we say that, Meath counter-attack at pace through the Kerry lines. This time, Vikki Wall drives forward, feeds Stacey Grimes who's shot is deflected up and Bridgetta Lynch wins the aerial battle only to see her effort cannon back off the crossbar.
What a day for Meath, we'll have Emma Duffy's report, reaction and analysis coming up from Croke Park after that historic success. Thanks for joining us.

Meath retain their All-Ireland Ladies Football title with an exciting 3-10 to 1-7 win over Kerry in Sunday's Croke Park showpiece.
First, a swift Meath counter-attack culminated in Stacey Grimes passing to the impressive O'Sullivan, who palmed the ball into the empty net to give the defending champions a five-point cushion after 45 minutes. In a tense second half, Kerry pulled within one after Siofra O'Shea and Ni Mhuircheartaigh scores but an Emma Duggan free stretched Meath's lead out to two before two goals in three minutes put the game beyond the Munster county's reach. But after Stacey Grimes got Meath on the board, Troy found the back of the Kerry net after a superb assist from Kelsey Nesbitt.

With the score at 1-9 to 1-7 at the 3/4 stage two quick Meath goals put them out of sight Lorraine Scanlon pulled one back for the Kingdom and that turned out to be the closing score of the period. The goals from O’Sullivan and Lynch really killed whatever chance Kerry had in the second half. When Kerry did when clean ball they were turned over a number of times as the suffocating Meath wall of resistance had the Kerry attackers measure. Kerry failed to score for the rest of the game and Niamh O’Sullivan pointed in the 55th minute to seal an impressive Meath victory. Stacey Grimes slotted a free kick, and then Kelsey Nesbitt fed the marauding Emma Troy for a smashing goal in the ninth minute. The rest of the game belonged to Meath really as they set out their stall to maintain their lead, and try as they might Kerry couldn’t penetrate their concrete like rearguard. Kerry started the second half well though, and Siofra O’Shea and Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh had them back to within a single point five minutes in.
Seventeen different counties have made the big day in Croke Park since the first All-Ireland Ladies football final almost 50 years ago.
He scored what journalist Tomás McCarthy described on Twitter as “an audacious overheard point” and was fouled for a penalty but it wasn’t enough to stop his side losing, 2-20 to 0-19. “A lot of the time we’re lost in the moment and focused on a decision, we’re really not there to watch or enjoy the game,” stated the referee in the men’s All-Ireland final, Seán Hurson, in an interview with his local Ulster Herald this week. In hurling, there have been eight winners (Kilkenny, Cork, Galway, Offaly, Tipperary, Clare, Wexford and Limerick), with Waterford and Antrim the only two counties to make a final but not win it.
