HELLO! takes a look back at the first time these royal ladies wore a tiara and it wasn't always on their wedding day, from Kate Middleton to Princess Anne.
The first time we saw Sophie wearing a tiara was on her wedding day to Prince Edward in 1999. The royal bride wore it for her nuptials to Christopher O'Neill in 2013. The Queen's granddaughter wowed in the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara for her nuptials to Jack Brooksbank in 2018. The Cartier Halo tiara has since become synonymous with the Duchess of Cambridge, who borrowed the jewels for her wedding to Prince William in 2011. Camilla might not have worn a tiara on her wedding day to Prince Charles in 2005, but she pulled out all the stops for her debut later that year. The tiara made another more recent appearance when Princess Beatrice borrowed the headpiece from her grandmother for her wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July 2020.

IN the mid-80s I was dispatched to New Zealand to track down the rumoured “love child” of Captain Mark Phillips, who was still married to Princess.
But old-fashioned aristos have always lived by different rules to the rest of us. And that’s the point. Stephanie, now 24, was brought up in a house on Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Estate, where Mark continued to live after their divorce, so has a close relationship with her half-siblings. It was a biscuit, it claimed, and should therefore be subject to the standard rate of VAT. One is the “cuddle cardigan” at a cost of £125 to £155. Cripes. For that price, I would expect Tom to knit it for me and deliver it in person. So many (not all) simply love, leave, repeat with impunity. MEMBERS of the Taliban have dug up a Toyota Corolla that was buried 20 years ago after their founder Mullah Mohammad Omar used it to evade capture by the US. Are you keeping up at the back? BACK in 1991, HMRC decided to challenge the notion that a Jaffa Cake was a cake and, therefore, not subjected to VAT. And of course, the back story to all of this is that when Princess Anne first met Mark Phillips in 1968, it took a while for them to become an official item because she was lovestruck by a man called Andrew Parker-Bowles, who wasn’t allowed to marry her because he was a Catholic. It proves that not every break-up has to be acrimonious, and it was nice to see. IN the mid-80s I was dispatched to New Zealand to track down the rumoured “love child” of Captain Mark Phillips, who was still married to Princess Anne at the time.
