RTE GAA pundit Ursula Jacob hits out at 'nasty, tasteless' abuse online (Extra.ie)

Ursula Jacob has hit out at 'nasty, tasteless comments from faceless cowards' after she was subjected to abuse online from a popular GAA page.

'Lucky for me I am a strong woman who has a brilliant support network who always have my back and are super proud of me but I would seriously encourage anyone who thinks about writing something nasty, tasteless or personal about ANYONE on a social media platform to THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE. 'I have always and will be proud of what I have achieved as a player but also know that I can back myself working as a pundit who is knowledgeable in both hurling and camogie. 'Firstly, I am a proud female and proud Wexford woman, who just happens to have a Wexford accent too.

Ursula Jacob Fires Back at the Online Trolls (Yardbarker)

The former Wexford camogie player and four time All-Ireland winner Ursula Jacob has taken to her twitter to fire back at the online trolls.

Caratini made the decision look good as he launched a three-run home run in the 10th inning to give the Brewers a 5-2 victory over his former team, the Chicago Cubs. Eric Lauer had been struggling for near a month when he took the hill for the Brewers on their Independence Day tilt with the Cubs. Despite not getting the win, Lauer pitched a quality start for the first time in nearly a month. That is a pretty major surprise, not just for the extra inch in height but for the possibility that Holmgren, who only recently turned 20, might still be growing. The Cubs loaded the bases with one out in the 10th but failed to score. Yency Almonte struck out Connor Joe with runners at the corners for his first save as a Dodger. The only other save in his career came for the Rockies in August 2020. Due to MLB’s rule regarding Severino not being eligible to play in the postseason, the Brewers have decided to keep three catchers on the roster for the time being. Milwaukee tied it in the bottom of the ninth when Christian Yelich walked to force in a run, but the Brewers left the bases loaded. Lindor turned on a Greene fastball and drove it over the wall in right for his 13th homer and a 4-3 New York lead. The Mets added a run in the seventh before the Reds answered in the bottom of the frame with Senzel's homer, his second of the season and first since April 26. It was the first MLB triple play in 12 years that started with a fly out to center field, and the first time ever that a center fielder (8) and third baseman (5) combined for all three outs. He added to that total on Monday when Nimmo connected for three-run homer in the second inning and Lindor hit a solo shot in the fifth. Greene was victimized by the homer again in the fifth, as the Mets took the lead for good. The Reds responded in the third against Walker. The Mets right-hander hit Matt Reynolds with a pitch to open the inning.

That can’t be allowed and isn’t going to be allowed.” Would that person come up to me on the street and say, ‘I can’t stand you’? I’m not going to change my Wexford accent or change who I am. It’s gotten to the stage that something has to happen to protect the likes of myself and other people. “I was quite irate because the headline was so misleading. “It eventually gets to you.
