Brad Pitt opened up in a new interview about the future of his film career and about recent health changes he's made, including quitting smoking.

Jolie’s team filed a petition in August 2020 to disqualify the judge from the case because of a disclosure issue regarding the judge’s business connection with an attorney on Pitt’s team. The ex-couple have been embroiled in a custody battle since the initial divorce filings where Jolie asked for physical custody of all six of their children — Maddox, 20, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 13. The 58-year-old actor, known for his performances in “ Fight Club” and “ Once Upon a Time In Hollywood,” has gradually receded from onscreen roles and instead has taken a more prominent position behind the camera as a film producer.

He tells me he’s trying to think carefully about what’s ahead, about the path that he wants to chart for the final stages of an abundantly creative career. He focuses a good deal of his attention on his role as a film producer, through which he’s happily supporting rising auteurs and helping to shepherd the work of great authors to the screen. “Out here in California,” he says, “there’s a lot of talk about ‘being your authentic self.’ It would plague me, what does ‘authentic’ mean? When we meet, he seems to me more ruminative, more intentional, more of an artist than I perhaps expected. It would always be at night, in the dark, and I would be walking down a sidewalk in a park or along a boardwalk and as I’d pass under an Exorcist-like street lamp, someone would jump out of the abyss and stab me in the ribs. Or I’d notice I was being followed and then another flanked me and I realized I was trapped, and they meant me grave harm.

More than one person described the experience of encountering the photo on their Twitter timeline as a “jump scare.” Another likened the image to a “wax figure.” But that’s not all: The Oscar winner told GQ that someone tricked him a few years back into believing that millions of dollars’ worth of gold was buried somewhere on the property. “I got obsessed,” Pitt said. The actor spoke with the publication to promote his forthcoming action film, “Bullet Train,” which opens in August.

The actor has not been officially diagnosed with any neurological disorder.

According to Pitt, the change is partly due to a “greater embrace” of his friends and family”. I am going to get it tested,” he added at the time.
