More than 30000 food and drink enthusiasts are expected to head to Iveagh Gardens for the event this weekend.

With a weekend of sunshine promised, we envision a lot of snaps from that Just Eat swing on your Insta this weekend. It isn't all about food though — for those who have recently purchased the Dyson Airwrap, it’s worth popping into their tent, where Asha was on hand offering tips and tricks. Those were just some of the bites on offer this lunchtime at Taste of Dublin, where the sun was shining and the liquor was flowing freely.

Kelly’s Oysters are also on site, in collaboration with the King Sitric. Single oysters with a choice of (optional) dressing are €3. The timetable for each session is here. The Salt Project won best use of local and artisan produce in the Best in Taste awards on the opening day. Chimac’s legendary ice-cream sandwiches are also on site at their stand, and the festival flavour is salted caramel between pretzel and chocolate chip cookies. Richie Castillo and Alex O’Neill’s Bahay were judged to have created the best front of house display and their Icon dish is Piaparan Manok, grilled chicken thighs, palapa, coconut milk spiced broth and garlic rice. Pickle’s Icon dish is a previous winner of the Best in Taste award at this festival.

Over the course of the weekend, the event is expecting more than 32,000 people to attend and partake in the culinary delights on offer. The splendour of the Compass Ireland Garden provided the backdrop for a beautiful summer garden party where guests relaxed in the sunshine and sipped champagne while enjoy signature canapes created by Compass Ireland ambassador Danni Barry. Lovers of food, culture and fashion descended upon the Iveagh Gardens earlier today for the exclusive launch of Taste of Dublin, inspired by NEFF.
