The improvements made by Haas this season have offered team-mate Kevin Magnussen and Schumacher the chance to finally compete with other teams considering they finished last in the Constructors' Championship last season.

The experienced Aussie is playing second fiddle to McLaren golden boy Lando Norris and has never looked comfortable with the team from Woking since joining from Renault, spare from an immense race win at Monza last season. Felipe Drugovich's name is increasingly present on the lips of motorsport fans, and will surely be in the conversation should he convert his Formula 2 championship lead into a title. Giovinazzi is currently driving in Formula E for the backmarker Dragon/Penske Autosport team but would jump at the chance of an F1 return. The 28-year-old Italian spent three seasons with fellow midfield runners Alfa Romeo between 2019 and 2021 and proved himself to be a strong midfield driver on his best days.

Mick Schumacher still hasn't scored a point in Formula 1. After the Monaco Grand Prix, that's the least of Haas's concerns. Another heavy crash, his second ...

And it’s awkward for Haas, which would dearly love Schumacher to cut this out and deliver on his potential. He’s the last person who wants this trend to continue. Especially when it doesn’t even include other accidents, like the clash with Sebastian Vettel that probably cost Schumacher a maiden points finish in Miami. Third, that final line: “We need to see how we move forward from here.” This could be interpreted a couple of ways. He now has six big accidents in 29 grand prix weekends, a rate of one-in-five.
