Queen to attend Chelsea Flower Show with Princess Beatrice and ... (OK! Magazine)

The monarch has attended the event - which is said to be close to her heart - more than 50 times during her 70 year reign.

The Chelsea Flower Show is also said to be an event close to the Queen's heart. However, she has been seen out and about several times since. It is understood a decision will be made on the day as to whether the Queen is able to make it, according to the Mirror.

Princess Beatrice is one of the royals who will attend the Queen's beloved Chelsea Flower Show, while Her Majesty is not on the official guest list.

There is also a special garden for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, which features laser-cut steel silhouettes of Her Majesty. It will be surrounded by 70 planted terracotta pots that represent each year of the Queen's reign. However, even if Her Majesty is not on the official guest list, she is reportedly hoping to attend despite her mobility issues. Princess Beatrice, Sophie, and her husband, Prince Edward, will also be joined by the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. However, Queen Elizabeth was not included in Buckingham Palace's announcement of the attendees.

This year, however, the ensemble of royals attending the show does not include Her Majesty or the duchess amongst their number. The annual Chelsea Flower Show is a key date in the diary for any keen horticulturalist, of which the Royal Family has several.
