Roy Keane's opinion of Paul Ince may change some Man United ... (SportsJOE.ie)

Alex Ferguson, their boss at Manchester United, took issue with Paul Ince signing for Liverpool, back in 1997, and he was not shy in sharing his opinions on it.

"When he was United, there was all this talk of Incey being 'The Guv'nor', and people held that against him. "Incey was a really good teammate, and a very good player. Keane himself left Manchester United under a cloud, and with Alex Ferguson cribbing about him. On Sky's Monday Night Football, Roy Keane was asked to select his Greatest Manchester United XI of the Premier League era. He helped United end their 26-year wait for a league title, back in 1993, and scored 14 goals in 103 games during that season and the one after, as they clinched the double. That move, to big rivals of United's, riled Ferguson and his derisive comments on Ince were picked up on a couple of occasions. Maybe tarnished his reputation, of course, [when] he ended up playing for Liverpool. He picked up the last of his 53 England caps in 2000. Scored some big goals for the club when Man United, maybe, werenโ€™t at their best. Ince spent two seasons in Serie A with Internazionale but craved a move back to England. During that access, the production team recorded Ferguson warning his players about Ince. Paul Ince and Roy Keane only played together for two seasons, but they were a dominant midfield duo.

A Manchester United XI to rival Keane's all-time Premier League ... (Daily Mail)

Roy Keane caused quite a stir with his all-time Manchester United XI in the Premier League era that he revealed on Monday Night Football.

Ferdinand was always going to get the nod here. The very definition of a safe pair of hands. This was without doubt the toughest call to make. A true United great. Another key cog in United's title-winning machine. Roy Keane left some huge names out of his all-time Manchester United XI (including himself!), so here's a starting line-up that could give the Irishman's picks a run for their money A rare foreigner playing in the country's top league, he helped United to back-to-back titles in the early years of the Premier League and is still fondly remembered on the terraces at Old Trafford. Keane was an inspirational figure for United on and off the pitch before leaving the club in 2005 Do the trio make it this time? Read on for Sportsmail's attempt at rivalling Keane's XI. The Dutchman, who made 266 appearances in six years at Old Trafford, was a staple of the United side which won three consecutive Premier League titles and the Champions League. Keane had a plethora of United greats to choose from but there was no place for the likes of Paul Scholes, Eric Cantona and Rio Ferdinand in his squad.

Manchester United's 'Unspoken' Training Rule Governed By Roy ... (SPORTbible)

Manchester United had an 'unspoken' training rule under Sir Alex Ferguson and captain Roy Keane helped govern it.

"We would treat every training session like it was our last, and that became a habit for everyone at the club. He had so much influence in the team, and if you dropped your standards, you would hear from him. I wish people could see how much this guy trained; he was unbelievable."

The worst Manchester United XI in the Premier League era after Roy ... (Daily Mail)

There has been lots of talk this week about legendary players at Manchester United after Roy Keane named his all-time Premier League XI.

Ferguson is lauded for his work in the transfer market but this French 'defender' is living proof he did not always get it right. Rojo played in more than 120 games for United and won three trophies - if, like Jose Mourinho, you count the Community Shield - during his time there. And there are no shortage of candidates for that particular honour. Taibi only ever played one more game for the club, a 5-0 defeat to Chelsea. Ouch. The goalkeeper responsible for an infamous howler, a disastrous trialist at centre back and the ยฃ7m deal investigated by Portuguese police... There is not a great deal to say about Bebe other than he will go down in the annals of transfer history at United - and not for the right reasons. But United have had their fair share of total flops, too. Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Keane himself to name just a few. The Angolan was offered a three-year deal after a successful trial in 2008, with Ferguson and his staff reportedly impressed with the way he handled the physicality of the likes of Nemanja Vidic in training. It actually started well for Prunier, but he has been held responsible for the four goals United shipped to Tottenham Hotspur in his second and last appearance for the Red Devils. A complete disaster. Three of the 'Class of 03' feature in our rundown of the worst XI to grace the United team in the Premier League, as well as an infamous Italian goalkeeper, a centre-back who stayed at the club for seven years and a striker whose transfer remains as baffling now as it was back in 2008. - Sir Alex Ferguson was praised for his work in the transfer market at United

The Angolan was offered a three-year deal after a successful trial in 2008, with Ferguson and his staff reportedly impressed with the way he handled the physicality of the likes of Nemanja Vidic in training. It was not only injuries that led to the Brazilian playing only 20 games in two seasons for United. Most supporters still do not know what he could actually do and, thankfully, that will forever remain a mystery. If you were to ask United fans for the worst goalkeeper they have ever seen in the shirt, almost everyone would plump for this hapless Italian. He was the outstanding candidate for this prized role.

Eastenders actor's Roy Keane impression hailed as brilliant - but not ... (Irish Mirror)

Jamie Borthwick revealed on Soccer AM that his party piece is doing an impression of the former Ireland and Manchester United captain.

The Man United icon did his best to keep a low profile as he sported a cap (although maybe that was also just to keep the sun out of his eyes) but was seen sharing a laugh with a friend. Keane has become one of television's most popular football pundits since joining the Sky Sports team, but this has also coincided with a terrible spell for his former club, United. The actor then proceeded to imitate Keane doing one of his now-regular rants about the state of the current United team.
