Pret has partnered with the Irish-owned Carebrook Partnership, one of their longest-serving franchise partners in the UK, to break into the Irish market. On Leeside, a strong tradition of locally-owned, independent and quality coffee shops has proved to be resilient to the big chains like Starbucks, Pret and Costa, which totally dominate high streets in the UK. And Pret will look to succeed where the likes of Starbucks and Costa - which has just a handful of outlets in Cork - have failed to make a major impact.

Carebrook Partnership Ltd has worked with Pret for three decades and runs many of its stores in London where it is a common sight on city centre streets. "There has long been demand from our neighbours on the island of Ireland to bring Pret’s freshly prepared food and organic coffee, and now with the backing of Carebrook Partnership Ltd we’re able to do so." Carebrook Partnership is a long-serving franchise partner with Pret a Manger overseeing many shops in London, including Camden, Belsize Park and Finchley.
